The Halloween special is going to be 2 hours.

So if there's not going to be a series 3 the they could probably wrap it in the Halloween special.

It would have to be like the movies though.

I'd actually be down with the special being the finale and it being like an actual Scream movie with a massacre (including actual significant characters of course, since big deaths are pretty sparse in this show).

OMG they've just released the trailer for the Halloween special! It looks amazing, like wasn't expecting something like this.

It's a new killer with a different costume, and it's to do with another killing spree that happened on this island which the surviving characters visit.

2 hours long.

Idk what else they could do with the storyline for it to warrant a third season but I'm still here for it cause I like the show and S2 was great despite the anticlimatic reveal.

Doesn't say anything about it being the last

But year probably will be if it's just 6 episodes, unless there cutting the number of episodes down to get more seasons.

Perhaps the reasons it's only going to be 6 episodes is because we got an extra 4 with season 2 (including Halloween special).

Season 1 was only 10 episodes.

And the Halloween special being 2 hours will probably set up season 3 nicely.

Hmm yeah I guess. A 2 hour special and another 6 episodes will probably wrap the current story up nicely.

I don't think it would need a 4th season with the current story.

Just finished watching, enjoyed it quite a lot, a little boring it parts but overall it was decent.

I quite liked the whole idea with it, "Alex's" motive was quite different and original!

It was kind of weird though, as if he wanted to with Emma he didn't need to kill all the people?

Welp @ 6 episodes.

Yeah I think if the show has any chance of survival then an anthology is the best way to go (although I feel like that'd be a weird thing to suddenly do after 3 seasons of not being an anthology). The character of Emma is just not strong enough to carry the show like Neve Campbell did with Sidney. I actually wouldn't be opposed to them killing Emma off and making Brooke the lead, as she has a few similarities to Sidney. Carlson is also a waaayyy better actress. But the main thing that puts me off this TV show is the attention it pays to teen romance, and i know that's MTV's target audience but i just can't be bothered with it. Emma is a dumb bitch and deserves to die if she gets a new boyfriend in S3 after the last 2 tried to kill her.

I have a theory that next season Audrey's girlfriend will be the killer, she looks much older than the others and my guess is that she is Pipers ex-girlfriend before she moved to Lakewood, and Piper cheated on her with Kieran. Hence why she killed Kieran etc...
