Fiz (Jennie McAlpine) and Kirk (Andrew Whyment) ask Ken (William Roache) for his advice on home tutoring Chesney (Sam Aston). Ken gives them a list of recommended private tutors but Fiz is overawed by what she'll need to do. She tries to explain to Chesney that she’s looked into getting a tutor and it’s too expensive but Chesney’s adamant that he won't go back to school. Desperate Fiz finds herself in prison sat opposite John (Graeme Hawley). Meanwhile Julie (Katy Cavanagh) collects the rest of her stuff from No.5 as she and Kirk sadly agree that their split is for the best.
Still suspicious of Luke (Craig Kelly) and how much he knows about Liam's death Tony (Gray O’Brien) wants answers from his private investigator. He's discovered Luke was a friend of Paul Connor’s and took out a huge loan to buy Carla's share of the factory. But when he can't clarify whether he ever met with Carla Tony demands he keep looking. As Michelle (Kym Marsh) helps Peter (Chris Gascoyne) clean the smoke damaged bookies shop he tells her how selfish he’s been and how he wants to make it up to his family. Michelle is impressed by his attitude and softens towards him. Mary (Patti Clare) excitedly tells Norris (Malcolm Hebden) that now she doesn't have to care for her mother they can travel the world together in their mobile home. Norris tries to look keen. And as the Windasses arrive back from their holiday Anna (Debbie Rush) makes them all promise there’ll be no more trouble with the neighbours. This episode is written by John Kerr and produced by Kim Crowther, the director by Pip Short. *** PI for the rest of the week follows: Monday 6 April 8.30pm John’s (Graeme Hawley) thrilled to see Fiz (Jennie McAlpine) but, struggling with her emotions at facing the man she once loved behind bars, she's keen to get straight to the point and asks him if he’ll give her some guidance over home-tutoring Chesney (Sam Aston). John’s only too happy to help but as she goes to leave he blurts out he still loves her and hopes she’ll visit again. It was what Fiz had feared hearing and as she rushes out John worries he's blown it. Tina's (Michelle Keegan) back from her holiday and having made up with Gail (Helen Worth), Gail plays mediator in order to get Tina and Joe (Reece Dinsdale) talking again. A truce is called but Tina tells Joe that she’s not happy with him living at No.8 and using Gail when they’re no longer an item. When she suggests they get a flat together Joe finds himself rail-roaded into agreeing. Michelle's (Kym Marsh) impressed with the new, improved, and sober Peter (Chris Gascoyne) and after some persuasion agrees to go out for dinner with him. Norris (Malcolm Hebden) announces to a stunned Rita (Barbara Knox) and Emily (Eileen Derbyshire) that he will be joining Mary (Patti Clare) on her round the world trip. Mary’s thrilled. Rita meanwhile sets about planning Colin's surprise 70th party. This episode is written by Peter Whalley and produced by Kim Crowther, the director is David Kester. *** Wednesday 8 April 7.30pm Gail's (Helen Worth) gutted as Joe (Reece Dinsdale) packs his things into his van and tells her he’s moving out. But as he tries to lug a huge piece of hardboard into the van he slips and puts his back out. Seizing her opportunity Gail rushes to his aid, taking him to the doctors where he's told he'll need complete rest for a couple of weeks. Gail’s secretly pleased that Joe’s in no fit state to leave but will she be able to get their relationship back on track? With her new-found religious beliefs Sophie (Brooke Vincent) decides she’s going to ask forgiveness for the terrible things she’s done in the past. She admits to Rita (Barbara Knox) she stole some sweets from the Kabin when she was little. Rita’s forgiving but Norris (Malcolm Hebden) less so. While Sally’s (Sally Whittaker) unimpressed that her daughter’s going round telling people how she used to shoplift. Elsewhere Peter (Chris Gascoyne) takes Michelle (Kym Marsh) out for dinner. But when she orders a glass of wine he gets tetchy. It's a disastrous evening as all Peter can talk about is his drink problem and he can't get out of the restaurant quick enough. Back on the street Peter's annoyed with himself but will he be able to make it up to Michelle? It's Ken (William Roache) and Deirdre's (Anne Kirkbride) anniversary but as she presents him with a card she’s disappointed that he’s forgotten. Making up ground he asks her if she’d like to go out for dinner but Deirdre tells him it’s too late and it’s obvious he’s not really interested. This episode is written by Peter Whalley and produced by Kim Crowther, the director is David Kester. *** Friday 10 April 7.30pm Joe’s (Reece Dinsdale) laid up on the sofa and Gail's (Helen Worth) enjoying fussing round him. Tina’s (Michele Keegan) shocked to find out he's done his back in but even more so when he admits he loves Gail and doesn’t want to move out anyway. Tina’s unimpressed, sensing he's taking the easy option. Len (Conor Ryan) meanwhile has heard that Joe's incapacitated and tells Gary (Mikey North) he wants him to fit some kitchens. Joe's unimpressed by Len's interference, especially when Gail arrives with Jason (Ryan Thomas) who's only too happy to take on the work. As the group thrash it out David (Jack P Shepherd) walks in back from Martin’s. He’s unimpressed to find Gail, Joe, Tina, Gary and Jason in cahoots but how will he react? Peter (Chris Gascoyne) brings Simon (Alex Bain) home from hospital. He takes him round to the Barlows to see Leanne the rabbit in his new hutch. But Peter's got more making up to do and as he apologises to Michelle (Kym Marsh) for their abortive date he asks her if she’ll give him a second chance. Michelle’s non-committal and Peter's left frustrated. Norris (Malcolm Hebden) wants Sophie (Brooke Vincent) to mop the Kabin floor as her penance for stealing all those years ago. Rita (Barbara Knox) tells Sophie she doesn’t have to bother but she's happy to do her punishment. Meanwhile Mary (Patti Clare) suggests to Norris that they go travelling round Peru, but he’s more in favour of the Lake District. Molly (Vicky Binns) looks over the garage account books much to Sally's (Sally Whittaker) annoyance. And Anna (Debbie Rush) talks Roy (David Neilson) into giving her a job in the café. Roy doesn’t have a choice. This episode is written by Joe Turner and produced by Kim Crowther, the director is David Kester. *** Friday 10 April 8.30pm As Len (Conor Ryan) takes great pleasure in explaining to David (Jack P Shepherd) that Gary’s (Mikey North) going to be working for Joe (Reece Dinsdale) David remains uncannily calm. He later tells Gail (Helen Worth) and Joe that he’s turned over a new leaf and wants an end to all the fighting. Gail’s not sure whether to believe him but is left with little choice. David then turns his attentions to Tina (Michelle Keegan), begging her to give him another chance, but Tina doesn't want to know. As David then watches her stumble into Gary as she shows him how to work the sticking door on Joe's van he seethes. What has David got planed for his nemesis this time? Peter’s (Chris Gascoyne) jealous when he sees Michelle (Kym Marsh) having a laugh with Luke (Craig Kelly) in the pub. Jumping to conclusions Peter wrongly assumes they're on a date and tells Michelle the flowers he bought her are in the bin. Michelle's fed up of his childish behaviour while Peter battles his desire to hit the bottle again. When Eileen (Sue Cleaver) points out to Paula (Sharon Duce) how Julie (Katy Cavanagh) and Jason (Ryan Thomas) seem to be very close Paula looks shocked and leaves in a hurry. Eileen’s bemused by her friend's strange behaviour. Molly’s (Vicky Binns) not happy to discover Sally (Sally Whittaker) receives a wage from the garage for keeping the books and reckons Tyrone’s getting a raw deal. Kevin (Michael LeVell) promises to sort it out much to Sally's annoyance. Tara (Ayesha Dharker) gives Darryl (Jonathan Dixon) an expensive watch for his birthday which she’s paid for on Dev’s credit card. Dev’s (Jimmi Harkishin) not impressed. And Jason (Ryan Thomas) tries to drum up some interest in the 10k marathon in aid of the hospital. Kevin's not happy when he's overlooked because of his age. This episode is written by Joe Turner and produced by Kim Crowther, the director is David Kester. |

CORONATION Street star Antony Cotton has signed a new contract keeping him in the soap as camp Sean Tully until July next year.
Bosses have lined up a new storyline which will see Sean fall in love with a man he meets at the Mr Gay Weatherfield contest. An insider said: “Antony loves playing Sean. He helped create the character and he’s thrilled with his new storyline. Axed ... Tom Kerrigan Axed ... Tom Kerrigan Allan Bentley “It’s been a quiet time for Sean lately but there’s hope and heartbreak just round the corner.” However bosses have axed Philip McGinley, 27, who plays Tom Kerrigan in the ITV show. He shot his final scenes last week and leaves our screens in May. Philip said: “Ta to everyone who’s said they’re sad I’m leaving Corrie, but it’s always good to do something new. I’m trying to learn a bit of Shakespeare — it’s a bit different to the stuff I’ve been saying in Weatherfield.” His exit storyline sees ruthless businessman Tony Gordon (Gray O’Brien) buy his 25 per cent share in Lad Rags. A Corrie insider said: “Philip is a great actor but his character had come to the end of the road. “The rest of the cast were sad to see him go but the door has been left open for him to return should another storyline turn up.” |

CORRIE barmaid Becky Granger faces years in the slammer when cops nab her with a stash of Class A drugs.
The troublemaker is nicked when the Rovers is raided in a narcotics bust. Regulars’ jaws drop as Becky, played by Katherine Kelly, 29, is hauled off protesting that she has been set up. But with her criminal past, even close pals doubt her — including lover Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson). Suspicious ... Steve McDonald Suspicious ... Steve McDonald A show insider said: “This will be devastating for Becky. “Her future will be in balance after her arrest and her relationship with Steve will be teetering on the brink.” The source added: “It’ll be touch and go whether she goes down or not.” Advertisement But while her pals fear the worst, viewers will know that trashy Becky is INNOCENT. The drugs will be planted on her by loser ex-boyfriend Slug — who is blackmailed into doing the dirty by bent copper DC Hooch. The detective has held a grudge against Becky since she reported him for demanding a sex act from her when she was 15. As soon as the drugs are in place, Hooch leads a police raid on the Rovers and finds the bar girl in possession. He sneers at her: “Got you. Say goodbye to your new life Becky because this time you’re going down and I’ll make sure they throw away the key.” Loyal Roy Cropper is convinced from the start that his former cafe employee has been framed and sets about trying to prove the truth. But it turns out DC Hooch is not the only one in on the sinister plot. The shock storyline is set to air on ITV1 this summer. The source said: “There’s someone else involved too. “Becky’s made many enemies during her time on the Street and it could be anyone of a number of people.” The Sun Sounds awesome

I think it will be Kelly...but the mention of both Slug and Hooch is great...they were just part time characters, the sort that would usually be forgot about

CORRIE is rocked to the core when a popular old resident owns up to his under-age sex secret.
Rita’s new fancy man, Colin Grimshaw, is exposed as the secret dad of knicker-stitcher Julie Carp. The shocking revelations will be screened in May when Colin – played by Edward De Souza, 77 – confesses to a gob-smacked Rovers Return that 20 years earlier he took advantage of 14-year-old schoolgirl Paula Carp and got her pregnant. So Julie (Katy Cavanagh, 35) is his secret daughter. Tearfully he confesses: “Yes it’s true. I seduced Paula when she was just a schoolgirl. And because she was so young people must be calling me all sorts. “I suppose people will say I’m a kiddie-fiddler and a paedophile. And I suppose it’s true. “But I was so flattered by this young girl’s attention that I never thought about it like that. “I know I should have stopped it before it began, but I couldn’t help myself. I split up two families and caused everyone such terrible pain” Colin’s daughter Eileen (Sue Cleaver, 42) who was Paula’s best friend at the time, is disgusted. She remembers Paula suddenly moving away from Weatherfield with her parents. But she never knew where she had gone, or why. Eileen tells her pals: “He was nothing more than a middle-aged pervert back then. And now he is just a sick old man.” Also sickened is his girlfriend Rita (Barbara Knox, 75) who had been seduced by his charms and was close to letting him move in with her. A Street insider said: “The repercussions of this will destroy families - and friendships" Daily Star |
