One off the best Xmas specials ever beats all of matts other ones, the episode was just brilliant at the end omg bit disappointed we didn't get a teaser all something like that but oh well

I'm not ashamed to say that I burst out crying at the part with Karen. I'm so happy they brought her back even if it was only extremely short. She was perfect to say goodbye.

My parents did not think much of it, but then they have not liked the Matt Smith episodes.

Could this be because while Tennant was there, the writer was Russell T Davis and Matt was under Steven Moffat?

Did anyone here the musical reference to Rings of Akaten near the end? Also part of it did seem like an attempt to deal with a plot hole left behind by the writers of the old series, pre-Ecclestone"

Capaldi did look amazing only by that first clip I don't know what his relationship will be like with Clara know I think the doctor and his companion love story thing is over now after rose it got boring.

But I loved the cyber head sad to see it die I though it would be the next K-9

I loved the episode, though I am wondering what actually ended up happening to Trenzalore after they left? I'm guessing Gallifrey have gone back into hiding though. The regeneration was so sad

It was okay, nowhere near as good as Day of the Doctor

Clara continues to be the best aspect of the show since 2005

Capaldi will be an amazing Doctor. Smith was the best since the 05, but even he was not that good

It'd have to have been amazing to beat Day of the Doctor, lol. One of the best Christmas specials though.

I hear a rumour that there's gonna be an easter special.

It would be nice if they did a short Easter special (maybe just a 30-40 minute thing?) just to break up the gap now until series 8.

Last nights special I thought was pretty weak if I'm honest. I usually adore Moffat's writing style although he seemed to had lost it with this script. The pacing was terrible too. Although I'll have to give it a few more viewings to see if it's better watching it again. The last 10 minutes were amazing though. The rest of the episode felt like it was missing something.

I looked at it and really enjoyed it but I missed some.

Why did he choose to stay in Christmas?

Also how did the vapors from the crack (that sounds so wrong ) give him the ability to regenerate when it went into his mouth?

I do plan to watch it again.
