I liked it tbh but I kind of wish they went through with what they heavily implied in the spin-off with the Red Queen being one of the stepsisters. I don't really see it as a retcon as some are saying because it was only ever an implication and never confirmed but I'd have liked it to have panned out (and Marsh hates Emma Rigby so there's another plus ). But a good thing with it not happening was that I loved Lady Tremaine as she was here.

Something I didn't get was why Lady Tremaine would send herself and Clorinda to the Land of Untold Stories rather than just push Ella through

But I did like how it nicely filled in the gaps from the Cinderella episode way back in Season 1. At first I was confused because I always remembered the ball from that episode as being her and Thomas' first meeting so I thought they were retconning the hell out of that but then I read back the summary and it had skipped to their wedding ball so yeah, it was good to have the rest of the stuff filled in finally.

Ok, some of the stuff is dull (Belle *yawn*) but I'm actually enjoying this arc now. The Evil Queen and Hyde are a great pairing and the actress seems to be enjoying it as she's giving a good performance again.

Actually much better than season 5 so far.

I liked the twist with Jekyll being a villain in the end. Were Jekyll and Hyde working together the whole time since they've been in Storybrooke then or was Jekyll's attempt to kill Belle an act of impulse?

I liked that Mary's father was the same doctor who worked in the asylum Alice was sent to in the spin-off.

Probably my favourite episode of the season

Wasn't sure if we'd be seeing Jafar again so that was good. And I like how the red bird is an apparent allusion to Iago from the movie. And that monkey figurine looked like Abu so that was a cool little reference too.

The Mysterious Island turning out to be The Land of Untold Stories was a cool touch, but meh on the whole. The next episode looks a lot more interesting though.

I liked this latest episode, although I never do love to be reminded of the "Snow and Charming sharing a heart" thing since it was always ridiculous.

The Woodcutter from the Red Riding Hood story being a bounty hunter who hunts werewolves was a nice twist on the character and the sort of thing that made me love the show in the first place (I mean the character himself was nothing special but I just always loved when they put fun twists on classic characters that actually work really well).

Human-sized Blue in her fairy dress looked hilarious though I'm here for her warning about danger looking harmless at first being a clue about her being an evil mastermind
