Currently ploughing through Starcraft 2, as I've never played the 3rd (Protoss) campaign. Decided to start from scratch although I've played the other two parts before - currently, finished the Terran campaign and am about half way through Zerg.

i originally started it on hard but you can't save until after the prologue part (that has 3 boss fights) and on hard you die from 1 hit so i literally spent like 5 hours trying to get past this part of the game (which took me 30 minutes on normal) so yeah i'm sticking with normal

I think Hard must be designed for people who have played through the game several times (and are also naturally good at it) because not getting hit AT ALL is really unrealistic in this game . I mean I dunno if you've reached the first boss after the prologue, but I died there twice on normal :/. Not getting hit at all by him seems impossible .

It would take superhuman reflexes in this game... It's not a timed block/parry/counter system like Shadow of Mordor or the Batman Arkham games (where once you know the rhythm, it is actually quite easy to never get hit).

you mean the big robot building thing where you do the black box thing and die? i did that on my first try on normal i couldn't even past the first buzz saw mini boss thing on hard

i put it back on hard now though it's more fun (but will probably switch back to normal for boss fights )

The first itself isn't impossible or really crazy-hard or anything, but he's really fast and his attacks aren't predictable, I have no idea how anyone could get through that fight without getting hit at least once ...

SO i'm playing through the game again on hard mode bc after you finish the story with 2B you can play as 9S and have the option to hack enemies rather than fight them and it's fun

i'm not even struggling on hard either bc i just past the first adam boss fight in the desert housing complex thing and i haven't died once

Apparently you don't get to see the "real" ending until you've completed it with all three characters... (2B, 9S and A2).

I've still not actually finished 2B though, got side-tracked by Hellblade, but will be going back to Nier after that.

From what I've read you haven't actually finished it though... things start to change in the 2nd and 3rd play throughs and at some point you realise the game wasn't actually finished at all
