The cast is extremely weak as well IMO. I'm not even sure if I have a favorite character... Maybe someone between Twila/Eliza/John K but they would NOT be a favorite of mine on a typical season. Twila is probably #1 by default just cause Eliza has annoyed me a bit at times (yet as of now she's still arguably #2 on this cast lol) and John K is very likable but a bit bland.

I liked Dolly & Mia a lot more than most left but overall the boot order hasn't even been bad whatsoever. I think the cast has just been bad since the start so halfway through I'm still struggling to find many people I support.

I feel for you, It's my least favourite season because I just found it dull and nothing stood out to me ;/

I watched episodes 1-8 and then stopped because I was busy with other stuff, and then randomly watched the finale. It was quite a good season from what I saw.

I'm still going through my first watch of all the seasons and I'm currently on Redemption Island, so it might be a while till I get to Kaoh Rong but I shall look forward to it

NaOnka was pretty much the star of the season. The only reason I have Holly above her is because I enjoyed her journey a bit more than Na's. Like, she did what NaOnka did in one episode and then redeemed herself and become one of the best competitors in the game...what an amazing arc Purple Kelly was great when she managed to get screen time, and I'm still not sure about Marty. I thought I was going to really dislike him but he ended up okay.

I feel like Nicaragua gets a really bad rep but it's actually a decent season? Not the best or anything but it's more watchable than **** like RI/South Pacific/Caramoan. Holly/Chase/Brenda were my favs

Vanuatu is also kinda underrated, the post-merge is great.

Yeah, I'm surprised by how well Nicaragua turned out. I found the first couple of episodes so dull, but it really picked up after the swap. Everything post-merge was enjoyable, and I think the actual merge episode is one of my favourite episodes of all seasons.

and the whole double-quit episode was very interesting.

As someone who likes NaOnka and Purple Kelly, I felt sorry for them throughout the ordeal. The shame that was inflicted on them was a little unecessary in my opinion. I do understand the frustration since they quit when there were only 11 days to get through at the most, but I think viewers forget just how hard the experience is. I understand why the jurors would get upset, but it's a little unsettling that other people would make such a big deal out of the fact that two people could not emotionally or physically handle the game anymore. Anyone that wants put themselves on a pedestal and look down upon them for that is a total arsehole (I remember Benry acting so sanctimonious about the whole thing). I admired Holly's attempt to persuade Purple Kelly to stay.

Jeff making an example of the two of them in terms of the rights to be on the jury was pretty gross too. He literally acted as if they were sub-human. Like, I hate a quitter as much as the next person but I think this show in particular has a terrible stance on how they should be treated (*flashbacks to Osten in Pearl Islands). God, even in All-Stars the way Jeff constantly questioned Jenna over her decision to quit was just so uneeded.

Well, now that John K & Rory (who I was just finally starting to like more) have gone, Vanuatu is getting even worse lol...

Although the real issue is... NOTHING is happening. I still have plenty of episodes left but wow this has been an absolute bore. How is it underrated?

I'm trying to skip through as much as possible - challenges/TC's/etc. - just to get through this season. So I got through the next couple of episodes real fast but I gotta say the last 2 episodes were actually pretty solid. (finally)

The drama in the episode where Chad went was more suspenseful than anything else (every episode has been very predictable this season).. although by the end of the episode it was still predictable that it wasn't gonna go 4-4. Anyway, I was glad Eliza stayed over Chad so it was a win-win on entertainment & result.

Then this past episode was reeeally good. Eliza managing to stick around yet again and LeAnn getting blindsided to finally take Ami out of the power position.

The Yasur women is what makes Vanuatu a great season. Ami, Twila, Eliza, and Scout are all pretty unique characters and it's interesting to watch the interpersonal dynamics and conflicts across all the women.

and oh my god, Braden mentioning the Jenna Morasca quit just gets me so angry. Remember when Kathy saying that Jenna was the cancer to the Mogo Mogo tribe O_O

I'm starting to like this season more (in the middle of episode 13 at final 5 right now) but it's still one of my least favorite seasons, if not least. The late-second-half might save it.

The positives are that Twila & Eliza have been major highlights and Chris has emerged in the second half as well. The last few episodes have had plenty of its share of entertainment unlike the boring episode after boring episode at the start to mid-game.

So Vanuatu got a little better but a couple good episodes and a good F2/winner doesn't help it from still being one of my least favorite seasons.

Now I'm looking forward to Micronesia. I love 8 out of 9 of the Favorites. Plus Jonny Fairplay just looks nuts so I'm hoping for the best with him. I hope it's not disappointing.

Nicaragua is actually a really good season. The pre-merge is great and the start of the merge is quite interesting, but from the double quit it all gets boring, and the winner is underwhelming. Espada is one of the most underrated tribes, meanwhile a lot of La Flor is ridiculously overrated (Na, Brenda).

She was alright at first. But she was full of self-entitlement. Also, one of the things I hate is when the leader of a group clearly thinks they're better and feels like everyone should play their game for them. Like think back to the episodes before & after Leann's blindside. She was on a power trip and it wasn't funny or endearing either because she just had kind of a one-tone personality. Twila always hit the nail on the head with her in her confessionals.


Anyway, I started Micronesia (4 episodes in) and I love it already. I'm not sure about the boot order so far tho.

Jonny Fairplay was alright at best but the hype he was getting makes me want to see his original season. Mikey B & Mary are better than a majority of the fans tribe so I would've liked to see them stay. And Yau-Man </3 (but there's still so many favorites that I like so I can live with Yau going)
