Germany it isn't really bad nationwide, but to prevent it going extremely worse they go in lockdown now after a long meeting of Merkel and all regional leaders
so this means every store apart from supermarket closed, no pubs, bars, restaurants for entire month of November at least, schools and day care remain open but with mask requirement rule also further more in german hospitals (i've seen on stern tv one chief doctor of a 24 hours clinic in Essen, it is loads of hard work, now only the serious cases and in risk group remain in the clinic, anyone who can isolate at home will be moved safely in isolation towards their homes where they can stay and isolate for the required 10-14 days, this is how you also can prevent hospitals, clinics becoming too overcrowded)

Netherlands: if things do not improve here, we might go into a full lockdown either, our PM Rutte had said
but they tend to first wait if the effects of our current measures will be seen bit later on

It will go to the people most at risk first.
Like NHS and care home staff, older people and those with an underlying illness. I have chronic kidney disease, so i will probably get it.

Cyprus and Lithuania have been removed from England's travel corridor list, the Department for Transport has announced.
That means, from this Sunday, people arriving from those countries will have to self-isolate for two weeks. The decision comes after a rise in coronavirus cases in both countries. Lithuania's seven-day rate of cases per 100,000 people has reached 140, while Cyprus is on 112. Transport Secretary Grant Shapps added: "We are not adding any countries to the list of travel corridoors this week." --------- it's spiking everywhere Last edited by bitontheslide; 29-10-2020 at 04:40 PM. |

If the coronavirus spreads the most when a lot of people are confined in a small place for a long time..
Is it time to split up 3 generation families living in the same household? |

They haven't even been able to get this year's flu vax rolled out properly to the masses because of unprecedented demand and logistical limitations... People waiting 6+ hours for a drive-thru jab etc.
