West Yorkshire's tier 3 from Monday, so what's the plan when the whole country is tier 3 as it looks like it's going to end up that way soon.
Tier 4? 5? 6?

go for a even stricter lockdown than at the first wave

that is another possibility (cause you can't go back to the same lockdown, so if you guys need another one, it needs to be a lot stricter)

and that might be like, only leave your home with a form (paperwork) only for crucial things such as grocery shopping, pharmacy, doctor but other than that no one out on streets who got no specific reason of doing so

that will put an end to illegal partying

and to fight off loneliness, create your own ''socializing bubble'' with family who live with you, socialize at home with them, perhaps a time to dust off old board games, or watch shows on tv together

those who live alone, very much a helpful advice to use facetime, skype maybe 3 or 4 days a week, frequent phone calls with relatives, friends whom you got phone numbers of

#StayHome and lemme use our slogan (translating into english for this forum) #OnlyTogetherWeCanBeatCorona

its quite possible that most regions may get to t 3 at some point, but by staggering when they come in and out of it, we stand a chance of keeping the economy going rather than places closing that don't need to

We have 5 months of this to get through yet, we cannot remain shut for 5 months without being bankrupt

Sure many ways forward,
it is shocking that Nurse staff are still getting infected with
Covid-19.

I don't understand what you mean by staggering when we come in and out of it, we don't get to choose when we come in and out of it the virus does?

The only places that are not going to be severely impacted are semi rural areas, how are they meant to support the economy?

not everyone is going in to t3 at the same time .... the time they are in t3 will depend on how quick they get the numbers under control, so regions are staggered in their timing in t3. They are not all going to come out of t3 on March 31st

Plus many care home deaths are supposedly higher than they were at its peak .. it’s bewildering to imagine that happening again !

here is the cheery report ....

Covid is spreading "significantly" faster through England than even the government's predicted "worst-case" scenario, documents reveal.

The Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (Sage) says there are around four times as many people catching Covid than anticipated.

A "reasonable worst-case scenario" is used by officials and the NHS to plan for the months ahead.

It had estimated 85,000 deaths from Covid over the course of winter.

But an official Sage document, dated 14 October and published today, reveals we are in a worse position than expected.

Scientists crunching the numbers estimated that, by mid-October, there were between 43,000 and 74,000 people being infected with coronavirus every day in England.

Their report said: "This is significantly above the profile of the reasonable worst-case scenario, where the number of daily infections in England remained between 12,000-13,000 throughout October."

It added that the number of people with Covid needing hospital care is already higher than the winter plan and deaths will "almost certainly" exceed the plan in the next two weeks.

Just watching Sky News showing the horrific scenes in Nottingham centre last night where thousands congregated drinking and dancing .. some were even shown going behind the police then knocking their hats off and scarpering .
All faces clear to see not a mask to be seen

We’re doomed .

mark drakeford has given up on any subtlety or nuanced approach and said no more local lockdowns , just total wales lockdowns. His reasoning to avoid any confusion. But Cardiffs rate is 15 times that of cardigan per person, as it has been before , surely he needs to treat the 2 places differently doesnt he?
1
even if we factor in cardiffs population is about 6 times the size at 478,000 and ceredigion is only 75000

The cardiff rate is still 15 times per person greater than ceredigion

Yet drakeford is treating both areas the same? seems a bit draconian and plain daft

A few months ago I seem to recall the talk was all about not needing ventilation for most cases ... wasn’t there some development in a machine that simply got more oxygen into the system thereby nullifying the need for ventilation ??

It’s all gone quiet on that front for some reason

very odd , they talk a subject to death a few months ago as you say and now no one mentions it?

also why has no journalist ever asked about shutting down the channel tunnel for all but essential emergencies?

we have loads of ventilators and they are indeed not needed as much because of more refined treatment methods. We should also remember that hospitals always fill up in winter with respiratory disease
