That is impossible because Marcy wouldn't have the guts to try, wouldn't succeed and would end up beaten up by David,
but,
I didn't suggest he do anything. I criticized him for putting on an insincere snickering laugh.

What are YOU suggesting - the choices are either punch David or else by some sort of 'default' choice one should snicker and put on a fake laugh?
How about Marcus just **** and be embarrassed?
That would have been the appropriate response.
No he should have laughed in his face, which is what he did do, as he didnt threaten him with violence of any kind and this was proven.
He did laugh in his face. Because he had nothing to say and had to cover up his shame after being called out by David,
and,
WHY are you telling anyone there was no threat of violence?
Did someone suggest that?
Why do you feel you are 'correcting' anyone about that?

Listen carefully:
There was no threat of violence but David THOUGHT Marcus was threatening to punch him.
David then stood up to Marcus (believing Marcus was threatening him).
Follow this so far?
So what happens is that Marcus finds out that IF he had threated to punch David (he did not) but IF he had - David would happily get up and confront Marcus with a face-to-face physical challenge.
So that most definitely intimidates Marcus.

It is so easy to talk tough and act tough inside a controlled environment like the bb house! Means nothing!!!!!!!!

It's what happens in the real world that counts!!

Maybe that is why Marcus lives in his own 'irripressible darkhorse' fantasy world!! Because the real one is too scary!!

Of the two - David is more of a man in my book!!!!!
