What we do know, is that Freddie screwed tax-payers money whilst laughing to David about it, DESPITE being a millionaire with a good life.

To be fair, he's got off lightly. We both know that there's been some majorly derogative remarks aimed at various HMs, including racism and various other prejudices. Sree was hammered to death. Lisa has been abused badly, yet nobody knows jack about her.

You say we don't know Lisa's life, and it's true, we don't But we don't know Freddie's either. Because he parents have money though, suddenly everyone is an expert on what he should have claimed legally and morally. Freddie was as entitled to claim it as anyone. He didn't "screw" anybody. He is not a millionaire, his parents are wealthy. It seems to be a real thorn in the side of some people, but that's just how life is. Some are haves, some are have nots. The bottom line is, he as entitled to claim the dole, and he did.

Freddie is not a millionaire. his parents have a big posh house, yeah...but he obviously does not get anything off them.

When he goes out drinking, he paints peoples faces for drink money. Why would he chose to do this?

He has also said on several occasions that though he doesnt pay rent, he has to have his own spending money.

Plus 2 weeks of signing on would equal about Ł100 ish...not much to be fussing about IMO.

He was actively seeking a job, and the jobcentre also check your bank account statements etc. to check you do nor have any savings over Ł6000 (not too sure of the actual amount, it is close to this though, if this is not correct)

So if he was a millionaire, he would never have been allowed to sign on.

I find it hilarious that people can make excuses for lisa being on the dole, yet have such a problem with freddie doing the same, just because his PARENTS have money.

But he's a millionaire, so it's wrong in most people's opinions, or at least more unjust than a poor person claiming the dole. Nobody has said he frauded anyone, we understand he technically could. But we think it's pretty poor, and it shows more of his greedy, sniding character.

All whilst laughing to David about it. Lisa never laughs about these matters, which probably is an indicator to her hard life and low income.

All families are different you know, maybe they are doing the right thing in making him fend for himself? Fair enough, he doesnt pay rent, but other people his age dont pay rent in their parents homest either. It just seems to be that it is such a big house that people have a problem with.

Lets get things in perspective, his parents may own the land and the house, they may on paper actually be millionaires(ie taking into account the value of the house and land) however you are making a very big assumption with the extremely wealthy bit.

They may have very limited funds in the way of real money. That may be the reason they have the house as a venue for weddings and conferences, if you were absolitely loaded with bags of cash, would you want all and sundry trooping through the house on a weekend?

I think lisa was brought into it to rationalise peoples thinking. Apparently it is fine for lisa (and hira has been brought into it also) to claim dole, but not freddie.

Yes, that part is simple. That means none of the 3 broke any laws.

But is is justified, morally correct, virtuous and good natured? Is it good to call it 'pocket money' and laugh about it? Is it good that he claimed it despite having supportive millionaire parents?
