I think Wes Craven is still in the process of writing the script? Courtney and David are definately doing scream 4.. I hope Neve is also persuaded into doing it

Kevin Williamson is wirting the script. It is still unknown whether Wes will even be back. It depends on the script and which direction Kevin is taking the new franchise. It should be good, as Kevin wrote the first two films

Just got some news from a movie website, Neve Campbell is in talks to reprise her role as Sydney.

I reckon Wes will definitely come back.

Oh and thouhg it would be great for the franchise, I personally couldn't care less about Neve, she was a ridiculously bland character. Perhaps she could be the one who gets killed off at the start! That would be a great twist.

How dare you! Sydney is the main character in the Scream series, she's my favourite female horror character ever! She makes the Scream movies

urgh she's so irrelevant and SO one dimensional. She's okay in the first one, bland in the second and just a complete mess in the third.

Didn't they say that if she wouldn't do it, they would consider doing a totaly remake, with new actors?
That would be dreadful.

Why don't they do a prequal to go back and see exactly how Sydney's mother died and the case with Cotton Weary being wrongly accused etc.
That way, Drew Barrymore, Courtney Cox-Arquette and Rose McGowan could definitely reprise their roles in some way.

They just led the film straight through just-another-horror-film to the pop-culture realm of cult classics.

what would be the point of a prequel when we already know everything about how she died. and besides the Scream franchise is slasher, I don't see how they could work a serial killer into a prequel.

Well it's certainly a better idea then doing a total reboot of the series in my books.
God, it'd be just another franchise for those money hungry hollywood types to ruin.
They've already ruined the "Halloween" Franchise, the "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" franchise, the "Friday the 13th" and "Nightmare on Elm Street" franchises, the "Alien" and "Predator" franchises, and soon to be ruined "Fame" and "Wizard of Oz" franchises.

I bet they bribed neve with a big salary! I cant wait. Duey, Gail and Sydney, the great 3 some back together again. I bet at least one of them dies in scream 4 though
