"Would you kill a dog and eat it? "

In the Western World we do not Eat Dogs or Cats.

In China they do
and do not care what anyone thinks.

He has a point, what makes us non wild? Because we live in a house? A bird lives in a house... they just call it a nest.

We have civilization, art, culture, we spread history, we carry ourselves a certain way. We try to explain the existence we are conscious of through philosophy and religion. We have an ego and we know it, basically.

Whatever your opinions on meat, that's cool, your not jamming it down my throat so i'm not blowing a hissy fit, but we ARE civilized. We have society. Your not honestly putting up a case against that, are you?

Never took it. I picked Chemistry instead for my Leaving Cert. Managed to pass it too, amazingly!

Yeah. We have a habitat. So? We still have civilization. How many lions have you seen open direct debit accounts?

If you were right, and we were just instinctual animals like any other, we would not feel guilt about killing each other. And we would not take the cheap way out and wash our hands of responsibility by letting slaughterhouses do the work.

So go on. Down on your hands and knees and catch some chickens. Eat it while it still breaths. After all, we are wild.

If we're still wild, as some of you have suggested, then you, along with every member of your family should take part in the ancient ritual of killing these animals yourselves. Seems like a logical step to take if we're still the tribesman you claim us to be. Could you do it?

We are 'wild' in our surrundings and other animals see us as 'wild' too. Look from more then one prespective.

Speak for yourself. I am perfectly fine in my surroundings. I can make tea and wash my teeth.

What has how other animals see us got to do with this? Are your family under threat from being eaten by a hungry parade of buffalo outside your front door? No. Because we have CIVILIZATION to protect ourselves.

Give me proof on how mentally disabled humans are useful. Is that really a good argument? Do cows have to play strip poker in a field for you to not eat them?

It's killing something that can think and feel emotion. And eating it. I have no problem with meat eaters as long as they are honest.

Would you kill a dog and eat it? Why not? Who cares if it is domesticated? It is still an animal! It cant do your laundry![/rquote]

I don't see the link between animals and disables humans but oh well, I guess you got a weird logic.

I am an honest meat eater, it's how life goes on, Men dominate animals and that's it.

I also don't see how it's bad to eat a dog, it's an animal like another, it surely can be tasty. So is cast. I ate a lot of animals (shark, snake, ostrich...) and I couldn't see a problem with it.

I dont see the logic in it. Read what I am posting. I followed it up with ''Is that really a good argument?''. Men dominate animals and that is it? That is not an argument unto itself. We dont NEED to dominate animals and some choose not to because it hurts the animals. And I like animals thus it makes no sense to hurt them.

I applaud your honesty with relation to dogs though .

We are the stronger animal. We have adapted and grew to become what we are today.

A bunch of rabbits and a bunch of wolfs. Which animal group has adapted to become stronger?

Stop looking at it from the human prespective and you will get a better view.

No we are not. There are hundreds of animals that would rip us to shreds faster than your brain processing ability. I thought you did biology? But we have built society to combat this. We are not the strongest. We ARE, however, the smartest. I hope.

Thus is my argument. Carte blanche. Thus is how we are different to instinctual animals. Have you caught those chickens yet? After all, wild animals catch there own food. It's nature LOLZ.

It's the law of the Jungle, the strongest and the most clever always wins, this is how we managed to be there today. No domination, no Men. Sad but true. Some have to be the weakest and some have to be the leaders.

They cant THINK of the consequences of killing another living thing. We can. And these days we dont need to do it, but we do out of ignorance because it is tasty. Thats basically it.

Thats not an argument. Thats just a fact. We call it time. Your argument was we are not civilized, we are wild.

Wild animals catch there own food. THATS nature. Now hunt some dinner.

If I had the choice between eating a horse steak (typically French I know lol) or getting swallowed by an Anaconda, trust me I'd take the horse.
I couldn't live without meat.
Also I'd like to point out that if eating meat is murder then we would all be locked in prison right now. It's not because societes got used to do it so it became normal to do it.
We, humans, were the smartest before being the strongest. We may not have been the strongest ones in the past (no guns...) but by outsmarting the animals, we managed to be the strongest ones.

It's still killing lol. Prison has nothing to do with something. You kill an animal, it dies. Thats killing.

We outsmarted the animals, your right. And we are very smart and very advanced now, so why do we still eat meat? Because it tastes good! Thats all I want people to admit! It's not nature anymore. Cheetah's dont battery farm Gazelles!

Exactly. Thus, we have civilization, and are not wild. You proved my own argument for me.

Although I never knew farmers caught cows. Where can you get nets that big?

No I havn't proven YOUR point. That was only part 1.

Think of a Lion, The males hunt and catch the food, Then the female gets (prepares) it later.

I can imagine other animals prepare food but that was a basic example.
