Crunk (or krunk) is a specific type of hip hop music, based out of the southern United States, particularly Atlanta, Georgia. While most crunk-style music could be called "Dirty South" or southern rap, the reverse is not necessarily true. Eightball & MJG for example have a more "Southern funk" sound.

Why have a separate voting option for it, then? It's like saying cold, lumpy custard and cold, lumpy custard with a dead fly in it. So Crunk (or Krunk) is, essentially, music without melody, then. Hence not really music at all. Cheers for that, Gazza.

Seriously, the music industry is crying out for something new, not a paler imitation of a pale imitation. Rap / hip hop is tired now. Even the biggest 'stars' are just churning out meaningless trash, spouted over a loop from an old 80s pop tune. R & B is dross, and has nothing whatsoever to do with what the term was coined for. Music needs melody, and the vast majority of r & b doesn't have any melodic value at all. I'd sooner listen to meaningless pop than that drivel.
