Women are surely entitled to the same rights as men! How can that be contrued as going too far? Differences between the sexes - shouldn't equate to different treatment/rights!

We have moved on since the 1970s, and where does the problem lay today?

I'm not sure this site has moved on from anywhere judging by some of the comments about women! Things seem to have gone full circle in some ways - with youngsters acting more like their great-grandparents! Not half as 'modern thinking' as they think they are! Still plenty of double-standards!

And your comments about men is any better?.. Your PC views will do more damage than good, are women really suppressed in the UK?..

This forum seems to have alot of sheltered kids on it, you can't base it on that.

The opinions of many of the youngsters on here seem to mirror those of society in general - but in a much more exaggerated form! A lot can be excused by youth and niavety - but still a lot of other members seem to hold similar views!

It isn't me that has the chip! And the problem certainly is not in my head - perhaps you live with your head in the clouds!

Don't be silly love..

You insult women that are happy to stay at home mothers.. Your issues are in your head but you do have a legal right to spit it out, [no pun love]...

What is your utopia? .. But to be fair your wacky views could be valid overseas.

I don't insult women that stay at home - not when they have young children to look after! Nothing wrong with that!

You really do feel threatened by independent women who stand up for their rights, don't you - and do your best to undermine them with remarks like love, and calling their opinions wacky. What is wacky about believing in equality? It is those that want to be 'top dog' all the time - that are truly deluded and wacky, love!

And where do the problems lay today? Did ask before but your reply was poor..

No you have a problem with men, hence the way you think.. Love nothing wrong with calling you love.. Is there?

If you wanted true eqaulity then it should be for all insted of your pro women tunnel vision.. We're both human and both have the rights to be treated the same, so really you should adress both problems like female cheaper car insurance, fathers rights over his kids.. Eqaulity she be a fair playing field and not to favour one sex over the other.

Plus you do know that women have it better now than 50 years ago.. Women have high profile jobs based on their skills in all types of jobs, time off work after giving birth, protected by laws if sexual discriminated against, women being in more control of their future and income unlike their grandmothers... More women in high political jobs, unthinkable at one time.

I do want equality for all - when did I say I didn't - it is people like you, it seems, that don't want equality for women. If you bother to read back in the thread you will see I have made it perfectly clear that I believe in equality of the sexes - not women being superior to men.

And yes, of course things have improved enormously - but there is still not equality in many areas.

There can be a downside tho, companies employing women just to make the numbers up.. Has happend in the US but is very rare.

Is it fair in TV ads targeted at women that show men being dumb? "Even a man can do it" and such ads.. I don't mind such ads but the PC bs could spill into everyday life and make it wrong to call a woman a bird.. Even M&S had to remove the "bit of skirt" bit from their ad..

I see your point - but men have been calling women dumb for decades - it is just a bit of tit for tat! And yes many women don't like being called things such as a 'bird' - it is a word used in a derogatory way - and as a man who hasn't been on the receiving end of it - then hardly surprising that you don't understand!
