Only BB is filled up that way, its fairly easy to get on an Endemol game show otherwise. I know people who have been on Divided, Goldenballs and Deal or No Deal and know of others who have done those shows as well as others. These are people who don't have a drama background etc or seem particularly fame hungry.

Makes sense as they wouldn't want to air BB against Britains Got Talent in the first week of June. In May they have The Million Pound Drop. Is this possibly the latest start ever (or since BB1)?

Yes, BB1 launched in July, then it was May each year until BGT forced C4 to put BB9 & 10 back to June.
