I love Velázquez and this painting of his colleague Juan de Pareja which was done in preparation for his similar and much celebrated work on Pope Innocent X is possibly my all time favourite portrait.

I was wondering who painted that. Haven't really read up on that particular period of Spanish art... more into the later lads like Goya and then through to Picasso and Dali. Yeah, I'll have to have a look.

Some members must have deferent reasons for not having avatar;

My case is;

"Lack of IT knowledge" then I learnt how to do it, but

"Lazy" to have it on. Then I finally decided to put it, but

"Indecisive" as so many to choose from and can not pick one.
