The only thing veganism gives her control over is what she puts into her body. She probably wouldn't be able to digest food that wasn't vegan.

I'm not a Doctor but I'm quite sure your body cannot tell. I dont think the gastric system has the ability to detect meat and differentiate it from plants. Choosing to be Vegan does not mean she is allergic to meat and thus she can eat the same things as everyone else. She's asserting what little control she can by insisting on Vegan food.

You're right. Not being able to digest and being allergic are not the same thing but in this instance I meant the inability to digest meat. I've not heard anything that indicates she cannot digest meat it seems to be a lifestyle choice that hopefully will impact on the rest of the group.

It depends how long she has been vegan for. And your body get used to your diet, so much so that having something new (that others digest without bother) can make you very sick.

When she became a vegan it was her choice, now her diet is a requirement. That is why BB provides other food for her when they get food rewards.

The body is designed to eat me and I'm sorry for being vegetarian or vegan isn't healthy, I was vegetarian for two and a half years and that made me ill, so I have no idea how she copes.
