How do you know what she really meant by it if you didnt hear it in context?

there are plenty of managers, especially trouble shooters that are brought in to fix failing shops, that don't give 2 craps about the employees involved. In fact, in retail, top managers that give a single crap about their people are incredibly rare.

"I'm not caring, just want to do well" is a management style? LMAO... Good luck with that. I don't think any of us know what here "awards" have really been for. Most in-trade awards are made up in an effort to make people feel good about themselves and work harder. They're worthless outside the trade, ultimately.
