As a said before everybody whether or not they like to admit it is a little bit racist, but most of us have the good sense and choose to see beyond someone colour and choose see a person for who they are.

To me Rachel hasn't shown or expressed one way or another that she considers herself as black or white and I wouldn't presumed it for her until she has said it herself.

I see that you have already posed two of the three questions I would have asked, but here's the third.

Is it because Rachel is mixed raced and you have decided to label her as black and naturally assumed that she just wanted them in for their colour?

In the pursuit of finding an answer to your question doesn't it prove what I said that we all are a little bit racist.

Rachel jumped up immediately when they appeared on the screen. Jo and Joel could have said they'd nominate Rachel, but Rachel was too busy demanding they get in.
But anyway, why didn't she jump up for Megan? What was so different about Megan that she wasn't like Jo and Joel?
