I remember a lot of girls fancying these in my sixth form. *puke*

No matter that they act like senile 12-year-olds on the Today programme website - smoking illegal fags to look tough and cool. No matter that Amis coins truly abominable terms like 'the age of horrorism' and when criticised tells people to 'fuck off'. Surely we all chuckle at the strenuous ennui of his salon drawl. Didn't he once accidentally sneer his face off?

I don't know why, but Ste from Hollyoaks looks hilarious to me.

It's generally synonymous with the music you're thinking of and that's all it really denotes, but the term was originally used for bands in the early 90's such as Rites of Spring who evolved from the "post-hardcore" scene. Their music was labelled "emotional hardcore".

I just think of it as pop to be honest.
