Matt Werkmeister, Kaiya Jones to return for special Neighbours episode

Neighbours has revealed Matt Werkmeister and Kaiya Jones as the two stars set to return to Ramsay Street.

The pair, who portrayed Zeke Kinski and Sophie Ramsay, will guest in a special celebration episode due to air in April on Australian screens.

Werkmeister - who appeared as the youngest Kinski from 2005 to 2011 - will make his return as on-screen stepmother Susan Kennedy (Jackie Woodburne) and stepfather Karl (Alan Fletcher) celebrate their 20th year on the show.

"It seems like yesterday that Matt walked on set as a young boy still at primary school, and suddenly now he's a grown man," Woodburne said. "We have shared a lot of fun storylines as well as a few tragic ones, the full gamut."

Meanwhile Jones - who was last seen as Sophie in 2013 - returns to Erinsborough before on-screen sister Kate Ramsay (Ashleigh Brewer) departs.

Neighbours promises another two returnees

Neighbours bosses have revealed that two more characters will be returning to the soap this year.

Show chiefs announced the news on the official Neighbours Facebook page today (February 20), but once again left fans to speculate over who the familiar faces will be.

A statement teased: "Spoiler alert! Two former Neighbours cast members from the photo below will be returning in 2014. Can you guess who? Hint: we're not counting Lucy! Or Zeke, Sophie, Rebecca…"

The cast picture was taken in 1992 and notably includes Brad Willis's parents Doug and Pam (Terence Donovan and Sue Jones), his sister Gaby (Rachel Blakely) and cousin Cameron Hudson (Benjamin Mitchell).

Paul Robinson's former wife Christina Alessi (Gayle Blakeney) also features in the picture alongside her cousins Marco and Rick (Felice Arena and Dan Falzon).

Other possibilities are Dorothy Burke (Maggie Dence), Phoebe Bright (Simone Robertson), Beth Brennan (Natalie Imbruglia) and Toby Mangel (Ben Geurens), while Andrew Robinson is also seen in the picture as a baby.

Neighbours has previously announced return appearances for Sophie Ramsay and Zeke Kinski, while Rebecca Robinson will also soon be back on screen for a guest stint.

Neighbours: Kathy Carpenter

Neighbours bosses have revealed more details of Kathy Carpenter's upcoming arrival in Erinsborough.

As announced last month, actress Tina Bursill has been cast in the role of Kathy, who is the mother of regular character Lauren Turner (Kate Kendall).

Kathy will turn up on Ramsay Street for a guest stint next month following the recent revelation that Lauren was once pregnant with Brad Willis's daughter, who died due to complications during the birth.

Show chiefs have promised that Kathy will "add more fuel to an already simmering situation" when she drops a huge bombshell which will rock both the Turner and Willis families.

Kathy is also the ex-wife of Lou Carpenter and viewers can expect some clashes between the former couple.

Neighbours' Mark Brennan to rescue boss Danni from kidnapping

Neighbours' Mark Brennan will rescue his boss Danni as she is about to be kidnapped in an upcoming storyline.

Brennan and Chris have been attempting to keep Danni safe from her abusive ex-boyfriend Stephen Montague after discovering that she is worried he will find her.

Danni's fears prove to be correct when Brennan (Scott McGregor) sees a car waiting outside the garage and immediately gets suspicious.

Despite discovering that the car isn't registered as Stephen's, Brennan can't help but worry - although he decides to keep his suspicions from his boss.

When Danni doesn't turn up for a soccer game and Kyle reveals that she stayed back at the garage to work on a car that had just arrived, Brennan immediately knows what has happened and races off with Kyle to find her.

Phoebe was in the show the same time as Todd, Josh, Melissa and Cody but they were all kids/teenagers and they were the "cool ones" before they all grew up and died/left.

Madge and Lou were just friends, never together. Jim was Todd's uncle I think.

Melanie was from very early 90's, she married Joe mangle (Skye's dad) in the end. She had an amazing laugh (also this scene features Kylie Minogue when she was in the show, lol)

Kym Valentine to return to Neighbours for Kennedys' 20th anniversary

Kym Valentine is set to reprise her role as Libby Kennedy on Neighbours for a three-week guest stint.

The actress returned to filming on Ramsay Street today (March 11) to celebrate 20 years of the Kennedys.

"I'm really looking forward to catching up with old friends at Neighbours, as well as getting to know many of the new cast," Valentine said. "Playing Libby was a very important part of my life and I can't wait to reintroduce audiences to her."

Libby's son Ben will also return to the soap, portrayed by new actor while other returnees for the Kennedys this year will include Holly Hoyland and Malcolm Kennedy.

Adopted son Zeke Kinski has already been confirmed as another returnee to mark the occasion.

Series producer Jason Herbison added: "We warmly welcome Kym back to the Neighbours family and we are sure audiences will be excited to see Libby back on Ramsay Street."

The scenes will air on Australia's Eleven in summer.

Glad Malcolm is returning too. I hope Billy and Anne will return as well but don't think that will happen.

Neighbours Ryan Moloney on possible Dee return: 'She could want revenge'

Neighbours star Ryan Moloney believes that his character Toadie Rebecchi's former wife Dee should seek revenge if she ever returned.

Viewers last saw Toadie's wife Dee in 2003 after Toadie drove their car off a cliff and into the sea, following their wedding ceremony.

Speaking in a Q+A chat session on the official Neighbours Youtube page, Moloney said that it would be 'interesting' to see Dee (Madeleine West) make a reappearance.

He said: "I think Madeleine West has moved on to some other things, namely gangland dramas where she is doing incredibly well. I think she is enjoying herself over there.

"Will Dee ever come back? It would be interesting. How could she come back?

"Maybe she could come back as a vengeful lover that I didn't keep looking for her and she needs to get revenge on me for driving her off the cliff in the first place.

Neighbours' Lauren Turner will be shocked to the core when she learns that her secret daughter is still alive.

Viewers know that Lauren (Kate Kendall) is keeping quiet about the fact that she was once pregnant with Brad Willis's baby. However, she has always thought that the child died due to complications during the birth.

After years of being kept in the dark, Lauren finally finds out the truth about her daughter when Kathy is forced to come clean.

The drama begins when Kathy arrives in Erinsborough and sees that Lauren is preparing to share her secret with Brad and her husband Matt.
