![]() since when was anyone's opinion (mine or otherwise) in indictment of instruction? It's not. You need to learn what the word 'OPINION' really means. It means it is subjective. My opinion doesn't match yours but that does not mean I shall stop offering my very own opinion. |

What's your explanation for Cher being top of plays on last fm aswell, Pyramid? I guess they pressed play and then remembered they'd put the kettle on so had to put it on again once they'd made their cup of tea?

Remembering Kerry

I watch performances I don't like over and over, obviously I watch ones I like much more but if I dont watch a performance how can I judge it. Often I find when I watch a performance a few times I get to like it,just as with music, a song may not hit you first time you hear it but after a few plays you may come to like it and even buy it.
Naturally at other times the more you watch or listen to something it turns you off it more. |

Why? Because having a Psychology Degree as well as studying Human Behaviour: I wanted to try to see more in the 'connection' between very competitive judges: and by that I mean, did Cheryl's face/ eyes indicate direct eye to eye contact with Danni, or was it feigned recognition..... there is a lot more to all of this, esp seeing the impact the judges have. Similarly: Cher singing 'Stay' - that was one I watched several time also: simply as I was very familiar with the original version and wanted to see how she sang several more impacting parts of it. |

![]() Seriously though, the reason Cher gets so many hits on Youtube is because, imho, those who gravitate towards Cher are those who have the time and/or inclination to watch her over, and over, and over, and over again, pausing and taking notes in a vain attempt to find evidence of actual singing ability. Someone earlier in the thread suggested that you 'worship' Cher or leave the thread; therein lies evidence of the mentality I'm talking about. Now, Aiden's, Matt's and Rebecca's fans will revel in the live performance, and, perhaps, watch it back maybe once or twice - but probably on Sky + rather than on a wee Youtube computer screen. Cher's fans probably haven't got charge of the remote ![]() Those Aiden, Matt and Rebecca fans would rather savour the anticipation of their beautifully produced studio albums, rather than indulge in hypnotically repetitive regurgitations of their studio performances. |

Oh and btw, I think you'll find a wee bit of respect for the opinions of other posters on here, might go a long way. You might not agree with them, but you'll have to accept them as being as valid an opinion as your own - even if they are at opposite ends of the spectrum.

LOL. Should I tell you now Pats, that I am reknown for my Minute Taking in the Company - I think the word, 'Thorough' has been used more than once! Now you are talking business in referencing Matt, Rebecca and Aiden. The very epitomy of good performers - all round, with depth, substance and well.... the whole likeablity factor. Whoop whoop ![]() ![]()

Oh. Now that's a breathtakingly in depth riposte. You want to challenge my proposed explanation for Cher's Youtube hit number? No? Or my reasoning behind tht explanation? No? Ok then. Bye.

FFS Paty. Get with it will ya? That would indicate some acceptable level of intellectual debating and skillful reasonsing.... I'm not altogether sure that's likely to be forthcoming. I think you really are setting the bar too high. You really ought to be ashamed of yourself !!!!! LOL
