Yep, it's a sort of a way of resolving yourself of responsibility. I think that's what I hate most of all. I have come to realize now that I'm not really comftorable eating an animal I myself would not be prepared to kill. Just seems cheap.

Yeah it may be hypocritical for you if you were complaining about battery farming, and you were eating battery farmed chickens, but you have a right to complain about Animal cruelty in general, as much as ANYBODY.

And the reason why i was so defensive is because i have eaten free ranged my whole life, and I don't want to be said that i have 'no right' to complain

Still, I enjoy meat too much to give it much thought, stuff like this kinda does make me think I shouldnt, but I dont like the quorn stuff and eat next to no veg, meat probably makes up about 50% of my diet tbh.

Yeah, that makes me selfish..but I will forget about it by tomorrow when I'm eating a bacon sandwich.

I dont think stu meant everyone who eats meat and that had no right to complain about animal cruelty in general. In fact I know he didnt as he explained ^^^^ what he actually meant :S

Then again sentances for most things arent harsh enough IMO. You can be out in 5 years(less in some cases) for killing a person.
