Your completely missing my point and making it pointless carrying on with this discussion, again, I don't necessarily agree with the rules and I certainly don't agree with complaining every chance you get, but I do agree with obeying the already silly regulations rather than risking them getting tighter and more harshly enforced (by ofcom).

We have loads of rules at Uni but hardly anyone takes much notice of all of them.the only way to get rid of bad and silly rules is to challenge them.

I mean one unseen sex scene in Titanic, a finger being stuck up and a nude painting being done,in this day and age, it's ridiculous to say things like that should be cut out of a film or anywhere else for that matter.

I always say Ofcom is the killer of British TV. Re the Eastenders when Mo hit Trevor: that was back in 2001. Even Eastenders has toned down a lot or become warped and hyper-realistic compared to what it was. The baby swap story was dark but IMO ill-concieved and OTT anyway but because of all the complaints had to be dusted up as soon as possible. And even the Whitney prostitution story which I think was the grittiest and most realistic EE has been snce about 2005 seemed to have been rushed after the Comic Relief ep.

Quite frankly Eastenders and BB are 2 of my fave shows and although EE was before the watershed they both pushed the boundaries and thrived on being the shows to remember and talk about but because of the non-fans or the biddies that think the world is bad enough as it is they call Ofcom and thus we get rushed, highly edited, OTT, kiddy-friendly sh!t instead. Eastenders is less of a study of the real world, and Big Brother is less of a genuine social experiment.

Am I right in remembering BB used to be broadcast at 10 rather than 9? Perhaps if Ch 5 moved it to a 10pm timeslot there'd be less opportunities for the Ofcom crusaders to worry about?

I will bypass the general insullt to Students,most Students are not any different to anyone else.

Bad and silly rules have been challenged and changed or done away with due to those challenges, the watershed rules and even some censorship too needs looking at again.
The content of Titanic contains nothing really offensive,as daniel-lewis-1985 was pointing out,it was plain silly to cut out of an entire film one tiny gesture.
That really shows how stupid the watershed is when it gets taken to that extreme.

BB will thankfully have a better chance of being a 'real' reality series on Channel 5 and I still hope one day to see a complete change in the daft watershed rules.
Most teens, certainly, have TVs in their bedrooms,do people really think they don't watch TV then too.

Rules are being relaxed and changed and abolished all the time, it's time something was done as to programming and a reality should be what it says it is, real.
