Brilliant comment from The Guardian's article :

"I'd rather watch Paedophile Island."

LF is fundamental, its how the press see things unfold before the HL show and can get it published early and have the true story instead of the stories channel 5 give us

This year has the potential to really put Big Brother on the map. The main problem is there is no live feed. I had to admit I am missing it terribly because this is the first time in years where I've felt we need a live feed for these housemates. Even if it's just like the US one where they do BB After Dark for three hours or do an edited live feed show where they put all the stuff they couldn't fit into the HL show, that would be great.

The second thing is the HL show is literally a semi extended version of the clips they post online. Why watch the show when you can just watch the you tube clips?!

Third off they need to make sure they bring in some new, interesting housemates whenever they decide to do that.

Fourth, they need better tasks and harsher punishments.

And finally, they need the housemates to move away from the sex talk. Nothing's wrong with it once in a while but every single episode? For the majority of the episode? It gets annoying.

I'm sure there's others but I just cannot think right now.

Like I did with the Celebrity series I've stopped watching this one a week in, too. It's just the one bland flavour of under 30 dimwits plucked from talent agency obscurity and shoved in to get edited to bejaysus in a show that is only Big Brother in name. It's just another shit reality show now whereas Big Brother used to be the reality show people who weren't into reality shows watched.

I can't imagine Charlie Brooker working up the courage to launch into a tirade about it if he even knows it's on. Not that I'm using him as some tell all barometer but by becoming a generic clone of a clone show with no personality and no variety in the cast it's lost virtually all it's adult audience who as Pyramid alluded to loved the odd moments of wit and bizarre late night convorsations.

It's all gone and It's not coming back. It really is a show for morons now. It's left behind the people who loved and could defend it best.

I haven't watched and don't intend watching a single second of this one. If there were live feed and more variety of housemates instead of the obvious angle that is being pushed with them then I would have at least given this BB a looksee.

I used to be such an avid BB fan up until probably BB7, then more or less decided to give up on it from there just dipping in and out of watching it from then on, completely not watching BB10 at all, and only watching BB11 until Ben got evicted because I fully expected that to be the last UK BB and wanted to watch the last one, and that one got so boring towards the end.

After these ratings if they don't even try LF on the next series just to see if it makes a difference then they're complete idiots and it deserves to fail.

100% agree with you Jordan, surely to god, they will give LF a go, just to see if does make a difference to the ratings.

The problem is once you've lost an audience it can be hard to get them back. They shouldn't have kept the audience in the dark about everything as if it was none of their business. They bought Big Brother so they should have listened to what the Big Brother audience wanted.

Trouble is though, even when C4 had BB, none of them right back as far back as BB3 hardly ever listened to what the BB fans wanted so I doubt they are going to start now, they always think they know best and never give any credit to what the fans want in a BB, so won't consider fan suggestions. Maybe C5 will sit up and listen now though and at least change a few things in time for the next BB rather than see the ratings flop further. Let's hope, hey.

I would very much doubt this rumour has any truth involved. The ratings are poor overall, but for Channel 5 they are getting more viewers than they have ever had!

I can't get my head round why BB12 shouldn't have have come straight after CBB. I just don't get why it would have been beneficial to delay it. To me, we all watched CBB, or most BB fan's did, and were waiting for BB to start.

Can someone explain the benefit of delaying BB until say next year? Not having a go here, just genuinely can't see the reason for the delay.

I feel the same Incensed, i think it was a good move on C5 part, to have BB12 straight after CBB, i still stand by the fact, i think the reason why BB12 is not doing so well cause of no LF, i think it didn't matter so much without it, in CBB, because we were fairly familiar with the HM's, but to have 14 strangers in the house, & see 45mins a night, we really cant make a judgment on them, so i really truly believe thats why people a have switched off.

Totally agree. Without live feed I think people are wary, especially as the vids and updates on the social media sites can be hit and miss.

I have not watched any shows other than the opening night shows. This year seems to be the last gasp for BB on C5 but i see they have gone in the wrong direction.
1) No live feed
2) HM's all under 30.
3) Voting on FB using credits( Who in their right mind would give credit card details to a site such as this) not me for sure.
4 C5 not taking any of the suggestions from the numerous BB Forums into consideration.
5) the opening of Bigbrother.com website and nothing being on there???
I rest my case.

What does one expect of the "Wine me, dine me, 69 me" brigade that are the current HMs. If it were not Endemol the Producers would be sacked!
