I think the past couple of days Michael hasent done himself any favours. He goes in huff like a child which was evident when Denise simply asked him to come in for a Jack D and Coke. He cant take any critisism evident when Natalie tried to reason with him. He talks AT people and not with them which is why nobody paid him any attention when he was justifying his task refusal. His character is strong yet unreasonable. You either like him for who he is and accept his rude and arrogant behaviour or you will inevitably be on his bad side.

I think its easy for viewers to like his strong immovable character because we are only viewing it. To live with someone with such emotional detatchment would be pretty difficult.

He is far from emotionally detached, IMO he is in fact an extremely sensitive guy, but he has his own emotional baggage to deal with which he does his best not to inflict on others. He has devised coping strategies to combat his depression and his previous alcohol dependence, and he doesn't hide behind his weaknesses to try and gain sympathy. Neither does he want to take on other people's problems when he has enough of his own. Michael is comfortable in his own company and likes his own space, whereas Denise needs other people to like her, which somehow gives her validation, and she has no concept of other people's personal space which she constantly invades.

A lot of the antipathy he feels towards Denise is, IMO, down to her being in denial as to the extent of her emotional instability, neediness and alcohol dependence. She keeps on about Michael not "getting" her, but fails to understand that there is no requirement on him to do so. Just because she is indulged and pandered to by her friends and family, doesn't mean that her behaviour is in any way acceptable to complete strangers, as Michael is to her. As to Michael's interactions with the other HMs, he is now feeling quite hurt and annoyed that they all appear to have accepted Denise's version of events unquestioningly and it is they who are rejecting him.

Seems odd that Denise is so easily offended. Especially baring in mind what she does for her day job (make controversial and OTT judgements about men). Well, now you know how your husband feels when he has to watch you slagging off men on national television.

If anyone is qualified to comment on emotional disturbance it's Michael, and Denise would be wise to heed his words and sort herself out, the best bit of honest advice she's been given by him, and which should have been forthcoming from those who profess to care about her.
I agree with this ^

If Denise has any sense she will look at her behaviour during CBB and realise she has to make changes to her life. I believe she will not do it nor will anyone around her give her the proper advise.

Someone needs to knock some sense into her. Instead, it looks like she will just get the 'kid gloves' treatment.
