I just told you my favourite housemate is male (dexter) and my least favourite is female (Jackie).

I think if a male houstmate pulled down a female housemates pants they would be sent packing. Maybe not in previous Big Brothers, but I do think in this one it would happen. Things have changed, BB is much more inclined to 'play it safe' these days, it appears.

Do I think Daley was wrong? Obviously. Do I think both Daley and Hazel's actions contributed to things getting to the point to where it was 'out of hand'? Absolutely. From what I can tell in the video, Hazel was the one who was went to Daley's bed initially, she's the one who took his covers and refused to give them back when he asked. She's the one who started the 'play fighting' and then pulled Daley's pants down. Daley obviously shouldn't have taken it as far as he did and was rightly sent home because of his eventual actions, but Hazel's actions are a contributing factor to the development and escalation of that situation as well.

no its not its a separate issue....weve dealt with daley hes a disgrace and putting your hands on someones throat is immediate expulsion.....the issue we are now addressing is her behaviour and also the way big brother abdicated its responsibilities until very late on

The problem here is not about daley grabbing hazels throat. Its that some people will always push the blame on the victim. There is always something. Always some small justification for the reaction. Or over reaction.

Big Brother could have called either of them into the diary at numerous points before it went too far, but they didn't. If they did, it would have stopped right away. It was obvious things were escalating and 'warnable' offences were readily occurring. I guess they thought it was good TV and just went with it. Daley will be held accountable for his actions, the public will know Hazel played it up and contributed to the escalation of the situation as well. But what about Big Brother? Where is the accountability for their actions, or lack thereof?
