..yeah, it's a celebration/thanksgiving for what you have and obviously food related because of the Harvests...it's a good tradition..do you have a big family, Alex...do you all get together for all of the celebrations..?..

I have a large extended family, but my immediate family is just me, my brother, and my Dad, since my mom died a lot of the spirit has gone out of it, since she was really the cornerstone of our family. we are spread out across the country now. We don't get together and have the same feasts we had when i was a child.

The last time i went home for the holidays was 5 years ago.

Yes ammi,I lived there for a year and also visit my brother often ,who lives there,it IS magical,also love Halloween.We take it in turns every year for the New Year celebrations.

...I'm really sorry about your mum, I think you've mentioned her before on the forum..she was quite an inspiration..?...yeah, I do understand and it's never quite the same as those childhood memories when you're older anyway...and especially as families are often quite spread out and distance can be a problem...
