It was scrapped because the thread was hounded by members who opted out. Sniping as Dezzy has said, every 5 minutes to show their disapproval. The hassle that caused the drama last time is the reason James has 'cancelled' it.

Disagree. I've seen James post in the past on the subject of the Razzies and state that some very nasty comments have been made as part of this 'fun'.

I also note Matt's previous post in this thread to the effect that if the Razzies happen offsite it'll be no holds barred.

From what I can remember, there hasn't been an issue with The Razzies since last year. You made a stink about it last year when you were in self destruct mode, knowing you could possibly be nominated for everything. You opted out, fair enough.
The Razzies are a tradition on TiBB, has been for years. I don't think it's fair they should be cancelled because 4/5 people disagree with them.

I'll continue to 'make a stink about it' as I wish thank you. It's my opinion and it will never change. I've actually stated it for the previous 2 years ceremonies, again this year and if it's attempted again I'll object again. I'm entitled to express my opinion - it's a forum.

I know they aren't designed to be vicious Glenn, you don't need to put it in capital letters for me, however there are always unacceptable things get said in them that go against normal tibb rules. I find it hard to understand that people don't get that simple fact.

And to reiterate, to do it offsite and use the name of tibb is really not appropriate, I doubt James will be happy about that. On your own heads be it.

Remember how disgusted you were by the recent offensive blog cos doing this offsite is inviting a re run of that. The host has already stated it'll be no holds barred. It'll be sick.

I have the right to say my opinion too but because I'm in a minority it's easy to shout me down. And there's a difference between freedom of speech and off the scale insults and abuse.
