Now, as an adult, I still have a really weak bladder and am forever running to the toilet, I always pee when I arrive and before I leave at any kind of destination and if I've been drinking alcohol I always wake up after 4 hours, go to the toilet and go back to bed. It's pretty strange but my parents were doing this for a long time to get me to break the habit so I think it must be deeply ingrained in my mind now

I'm so sure I do heaps of weird things I just can't think of any right now
I was the same, I used to wet the bed all through primary school, luckily it stopped before I got to Secondary school which made mini-Jess' life much easier. All of my siblings were the same, but one of my brothers still had it happening even as a teenager and to this day we don't know if he ever stopped, it was that bad. It's such a delicate issue, especially for older children, it can cause so much frustration. Currently my nephew is in the same situation, he had some traumatic experiences in his short life with caused him to be potty trained extremely late and he has just never stopped wetting the bed since then no matter what anyone tried. He is nine now and sleeps here every week, so it's not just his mother who has to look after it. But if waking a child after a few hours might work then maybe it's worth a try.

I always bolt upstairs after I've turned off the lights at night.

Same!

I always imagine a really creepy hairy black thin hand trying to grab my legs as I run up the stairs
