Someone walking around smelling after not showering for days is a silly reason to be bitching about someone? okay granted, people shouldn't be bitching about it, but it can't be nice to have to live with it surely? and if it's not nice for people to be bitching about it, why is it also wrong for someone to tell him to his face so that he can do something about it? it cant be nasty both ways

Yeah I do agree that if he does smell a little then it would be uncomfortable to live with and you could see it as being disrespectful of his housemates' needs. I wasn't that bothered about James saying it to him really, as others have said, it's sometimes better to be told than have nobody say anything and feel embarrassed. I just thought it was a bit bizarre that Gary was trying to have an emosh chat about feeling like everybody hates him and James kind of disregarded it and said he needed to shower

could have been a poor edit though.

Maybe that's one of the reasons that some people stay away from him? idk, i dont think i'd be particularly happy to be around someone who doesn't wash

Maybe! I always hate how a few of them seem to keep sniping at him for seemingly no reason, but I must admit, when Leslie discussed Gary's toilet habits in the DR, I'm not sure how I'd hold up living with that either!

None of us know if this is true. None of us know if he has showered, or whether he actually smelt. If James had just told him to his face quietly, that'd be one thing, but the whole group sneering and taking the piss? Yeah, nice work James. You're playing a blinder. The minute he's up, he's out.

Yeah my problem with it was the sort of sneering a few of them were doing about it, really reminds me of a playground. George also seemed to enjoy the fact that Gary would probably be embarrassed by it.. He didn't seem sympathetic at all. I feel like he's just licking their arses at the moment and using their dislike of Gary as a platform to become best buddies.

Yes, it was horrible. Some of them in there are so unaware of themselves they must be like that all of the time.

According to Stephanie, James has been telling Gary to have a shower every day. Does James think he has the right to be on hygiene patrol? - Gary is too much of a gentleman to tellhim to get lost.
