I venture to suggest that some people need to travel to the depths of these countries with their pc ethnic minority book of phrases in hand and see how it pans out. I lived in Mexico and also cuba and if you called a Mexican or Cuban brown, you might be eating your dinner through a straw. lol.

Westerners perceptions of right and wrong are different in the real world. I remember once calling my gardener in Mexico Hispanic and he didn't talk to me for days, he explained that Hispanic was an American word to describe a mexicano. asked if he was regarded as black (he was really dark Mayan) and he said no, blacks are Africans, so they don't even work on PC levels.

I don't think you realise how skin tone works. Black people are black because of the heat in their country, same where we're white because it's colder.

latin people are french, italian and spanish etc. and they are white. hispanic people divided into white and black (mix native american indian, white, black and island countries). cami is cuban. she is considered a white hispanic.
