Wow, so exciting! I dunno how they can have 2 floors if there are no stairs outisde though

Hope the interior gets a big revamp as well! But it looks like the crowd is going to get smaller? Like the new house protrudes into the crowd area...

What do you mean?

There isn't two floors, the studio space is elevated.

I swear every C5 house looks exactly the same so I'm glad they're massively changing the interior layout.

If they got rid of the stands and had the crowd on ground floor like they did on C4, they would be able to pack bigger crowds in. The stands take up way too much space and only hold about a few hundred people.

On C4 they used to have much bigger crowds without even using the whole compound space.

They're too high. I miss seeing the sky during live shows and how it would slowly get dark as the night went on in the summer like you did on C4. The stands make the set feel more enclosed, whereas on C4 it felt more open. Especially in the BB6/7/9/10 layout.

The door is "upstairs" because the space is elevated, surely?

Like how when we see them exit the eye studio they have to come down metal stairs.

Well it appears to have a divider in the elevation which would imply a second floor, there's also a plan labelled "FIRST FLOOR - NEW HOUSE" as well as "GROUND FLOOR - NEW HOUSE"

It says "New Interior Space" as far as I can tell so I suppose it could still be a building used for behind the scenes stuff.

I have no idea what any of the drawings or diagram things mean but I'm excited for these changes

That's the garden.

I mean the enclosed space that is opposite the current eye stage.

They have been able to have an upstairs area where the DR was for a few series. So we know they can make at least that upper half of the studio with two floors.

Had a look through the plans and this is great. Now I'm believing Ben Frow with his 'big changes' comment. We're getting a bigger house/set, a proper studio eviction set will be constructed and it looks like they're trying to make the audience area a bit more open.

The covering letter on the application states they want this approved asap (at the March committee), so it can be ready for this years summer series. Hopefully this will mean a June launch (can't see them getting all this rushed through ready for May).
