However, if this is going ahead (and no doubt would be for a ratings boost), one has to question why it isn't being promoted by 5 themselves? Ratings for BB/the launch shows are at an all time low, so if z-celebs are indeed going in as well, you'd think they'd make people know about it rather than leaving it until the launch?

It's kinda just a rehash of last year's twist? Like forget Nikki/Brian/Helen/Aisleyne/Charley/Jasmine/John/James/Dexter were on BB before and were famous for other things and it's basically the same twist.

Was it really that much of a success last year for them to replicate it this year? I know ratings improved slightly although it was still a far cry from the ratings for say, BB14.

IF this does happen to be true then the show really is on its last legs. They're scrapping the barrel trying anything to keep it fresh. When all they really need to do is concentrate on a classic series and get the casting right, that's all. I think they need to take a harder look at where they're going wrong with the casting, instead of dragging in silly twists and z-lister's to make the show seem interesting. All these twists to is further drag the show down, rather than improve it.

I don't really see what the big deal is? The normal series has had "known" people from the media as housemates in the last few series. In fact, even in BB6 Derek was quite well known before he went in. As long as they're treated as normal housemates and don't live in a separate area or something then I don't mind if these people go in, as long as they're entertaining.
