Is there a reason why you ignored the post I made in response to you and quoted my post to someone else instead?

And I wondered how long it would take before someone brought up a ridiculously extreme example, it happens every time no, there are of course exceptions to the rule (Dennis, Daley, Helen BB16, Conor, a few others I've probably forgotten) but they should go without saying. Generally speaking, housemates who provoke discussion are good for the show as that is what something like Big Brother thrives on - discussion

Twats like Marco have been evicted from big brother early on since the beginning and the show has gone on. He's given us all he has to offer a forced showmance and his prancing around. Evicting is probably gonna be the best for the show coz no one wants to watch a show that just revolves around one dickhead.

The show goes on, but the quality dips and the problem is is that on BBUK these aren't sporadic decisions where it's like 'okay well this week the twat can go but next week we'll pick a bore I promise x', it starts a disheartening and series-ruining pattern that usually the show doesn't recover from. It's a domino effect, once one drops so do the rest, and we're more often than not left with a house full of people who aren't doing anything and in typical fashion people start complaining it's boring and wondering why

I actually disagree, and I think the showmance is going to end personally...but he is an extremely divisive character, he looks like a ****ing nightmare to live with (which is a good thing!) and many housemates have already said how fed up with him they are. Why would we as viewers want to give them that? We aren't living with them. I can actually see his annoying behaviour only getting worse and the more it divides them, the better it gets

This series definitely doesn't just resolve around him either, that's usually the case but there are plenty of others that have had just as much focus as him

bb2-10(bar4) and bb13 are all examples of big characters leaving and the series still being good. The rest either dipped further down or were just awful to begin with.

8, 9 and 10 definitely dipped in quality across the series no matter how much I loved the latter

Disagree with 13 too personally but that's an unpopular opinion

8 only dipped when the half way house got boring imo. That season had too many housemates and was too long. but the rest were ok 10 isn't my favourite series but it was the same quality throughout. 13 is probably the perfect c5 series for me.

The 'quality' has more than dipped a long time since Jack.

I keep watching every year with some tiny amount of hope that they'll sort it out and every year they start off by telling us that "this is the one"......."things have changed" etc. etc. but every year feels like more of an insult to our intelligence than the last.

We're only a week or whatever it is into this series and already the bull**** they've tried to feed us is monumentally insulting! That ****ing 'live twist' thing last night surely must be a new low in C5 BB incompetence. I really could not believe that anyone could **** up a mere 30 minutes of 'live' TV quite that badly.
The delusion that they think that it's OK to have major incidents go on that we find out about but are never given explanations for just gets more extreme year by year too.

And the reason it's boring is because of the abysmal production values, the almost complete lack of anything vaguely resembling an entertaining task or just basic ideas for themes and the gradual shedding of just about everything that used to make the show watchable (and more importantly enjoyable!).
The day to day life in the house in the way it used to be produced could be extremely good viewing, especially when they auditioned real people and we ended up with housemates who were real people who had real personalities and weren't treating BB like a stepping stone to their Z-List careers.

There's pretty much a total lack of respect from the producers to us, the viewers any more. They know that as long as they cause drama and fuss by whatever ridiculous devices they can use whilst spending as little money as possible (in relation to the amount of cash they can get back through sponsorship and adverts) we'll keep on watching in the hope that we'll get what we were told we would (but never do any more!).

I've found this series to be the worst yet so far and there's not really any reason that i can see that it's going to get any better because they just don't give a **** any more.
