People that are naturally size 6 is less common than people should think, the only reason that would happen is if the person has an extremely high metabolism. Surely its un healthy to be that size no matter your size, if you are that size you need to get some weight on you as its probably effecting your health just like being obese is!

I dont see why girls cant just be curvy... I like girls with meat on them not just bone... Steph from BB for example... she is slim but she is not skinny. I hate the way models say "Im naturally this size" so that makes it acceptable? Especially as a model you should understand you are promoting a bad look, if you have an illness that makes you obese and it was all natural and there was nothing you could do you would do something about it! I dont get why skinny people dont seek help about their size. Its not healthy and its not really that attractive.

Also men are having the magazines point at them, they should have a six pack and also a six pack in the fridge etc etc.... Not everybody buys into the BS but those that do will never be truely happy.

Exactly. Support that viewpoint 100%. Match stick people to me are far from attractive......A sensible amount of fat i would claim is healthy. When you become ill and have no fat surplas and off your food you can soon become seriously ill.......

What does "real" women mean? Some people just can't gain weight and some people can't lose weight. This applies for men as well.

Please explain why.
I mean generally.
Obviously there is extremes, like anorexics and stuff
I meant someone who is NATURALLY thin and looks good and someone who is NATURALLY curvy and looks good is what i meant by extremes.

To elaborate on other points: The media is quite a factor for girls, but that's not the only reason.

Some people are also coming across badly. In Big Brother, Rebecca was a "normal" girl (on her bottom half anyway), and constantly people are like "MISS PIGGY!" "SHE'S SO FAT!" and for all the "bigger" people on this forum - like me - it was a real confidence knock even though it wasn't directed at me.
I'm size 12 english size, and I used to get "YOU'RE SO FAT" from people all the time, I then became obsessive about my weight and went to like size 10.. and then I became depressed and stressed and went up to 14/16 for a few months. I'm back to size 12 now and I want to lose weight, as I'm so heavily influenced by people in the past saying to me "you're fat" that in a way I always look at people and am like "you're sooo skinny, it's not fair."

I met someone the other week and he said "Oh my god, The way ***** described you, I thought you'd be out to here!" -and he put his hands as far out as possible.
