the percentage of zero hours is miniscule at around 900,000 people out of 62 million thats about 1.6%....of those 1.6% many actually like zero hours. They still get sickness and holiday pay and those who do their jobs better get offered more hours. This offers more flexibility in the economy and helps create jobs....the UK has created more jobs than the rest of europe put together in the last 6 years. Wages have grown beyond those in the rest of europe and laws against unscrupulous employers enforcing workers to stay at one place have tightened in the UK. The EU though has allowed more of this zero hours as it has deregulated massive corporations like UBER and allowed them to have all self employed workers, thus no sick pay , no holidays, almost no rights, etc The vice president at european union who made these rules and deregulaitng the disgraceful company uber , then left to join the UBER board...stinks http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-36212446

Im afraid all your anger is all misplaced and aimed in the worng areas....You need to unlearn most of what youve learnt and force yourself into looking at things from a totally different point of view

The facts

Since brexit the stock markets have seen the biggest rises in history, raising 100s of billions in value of british companies, creating enromous wealth and reinvestment in jobs and capital, yet this has barely been reported by the mainstream news? why?

FTSE 100 up 930 to 7070 = 12.9% rise
FTSE 3370 to 18340 = 18.4% rise
FTSE up 620 to 3900 = 16% rise

Lets look at the hysterical june 23rd headlines, it said an 8% fall in FTSE100 was worth Ł120 billion....http://www.independent.co.uk/news/bu...-a7099951.html

By that logic a 13% rise in FTSE 100 must be worth around Ł200 billion rise
and total FTSE100 value is around Ł1.5 trillion

Hysterical headlines on FTSE250 on day of brexit http://www.independent.co.uk/news/bu...-a7099951.html

FTSE 250 is estimated to be worth 13% of FTSE 250 so thats around Ł195 billion rise
An 18.4% rise is worth around Ł35.66 billion rise

FTSE350 is up 16% that is estimated to be worth over Ł100 billion rise

Total rise for just FTSE 100 and FTSE250 is estimated to be worth Ł235 billion since brexit! So much for economic collapse!

The entire GDP of the UK is only Ł2.2 trillion per annum
so Ł335 billion is 15% of our entire GDP

so much for our economic collapse lol

amazing how the loony left are so angry about our vibrant healthy booming economy , after the loony left made us bankrupt yet again. What did the note say that they left in the treasury again? "Sorry theres nothing left" pretty much sums up their legacy of 13 years of mostly appalling government

'Loony left' makes me cringe every time

And describing the Blair years as left wing is ironically rather loony itself

I really don't know how many times I have to tell you I'm not a Blairite or supporter of New Labour ideology before you actually get it, I mean I even criticised them in a roundabout way in the post you just quoted

You're preaching to the choir here. My issue was with the term 'loony left' which is so embarrassing I can't stand to read it anymore, and more importantly you using it to describe a centrist government. Don't tarnish the real left in such a way please

Trivial as always lol

The loony left is tarnished enough , if that term upsets you more than the serious issues like 1 million dead iraqis, a bankrupt economy, 1000s dying of neglect and filth on our hospital wards , destruction of civil liberties, illegal immigration and imported terrorists, then you need to take a long travis bickle style look in the mirror.

Pretty much, Blair and New Labour were pretty much Center-right. I'd rather be Loony left than Raging Racist Right any day.
