I strongly suspect that it was all bluster and promises earlier; I think he would have revealed the location of the body at some point if he could. I think the tragic truth is that he simply couldn't remember.

I wouldn't want my relative cremated in the same oven after him. Some of his ashes may end up in his/her pot

I think my imagination has just moved from the sublime to the ridiculous!
