I wish people would be sure on their facts before accusing people of being xenophobic - it's ignorant.

You don't know people and have no right to make any such assumptions based on their concerns over large scale immigration. It's hardly as if immigration is working out well in most parts of Europe is it. But that of course is all down to the West.

You are into tidy little compartments then? You've plummeted in my estimation.

Corbyn reminds me of Neil Kinnock with his 'getting down with the cool kids' attention - seeking stunts.

You can't really fault him for his campaigning. It's what he's good at.He picked the right place for an echo chamber for sure. His revolution rhetoric is exciting for many.He probably will inspire more to vote with stuff like this.
You've gotta admire his determination.
Politics is on the move to the left now after the Tories have been inflicting their policies on us for the last seven years. It's how it goes.Politics is a pendulum.I think Labour will get into power possibly at next election or if not definitely the one after and we may have them for a decade or so and then the country will swing right again, then left again.

I think the spin is very clever and whoever is advising him are doing a much better job than those advising May. However the thing I find disturbing is the fevered adoration in some quarters for team Corbyn, people don't seem to recognise spin for what it is. I'd like to see a strong potential labour government but it's not going to come via Corbyn hero worship.

You could say that for any party though with the spin. They're all at it.Mays "strong and stable" indoctrination tactics were'nt any better. It's what politicians do.

Yes of course they all spin. The worry is when people buy into the spin so much that there is an element of hero worship. This happened with Blair, at one point he could do no wrong, and look how that turned out.

What is evident for me anyway that the same backlash and desire for investment in the countries social and industrial need is being felt after 7yrs of tory austerity as it was after both world wars..... :/

People had the same hero worship for Thatcher before she got in.

I'm not old enough to recall that. The only time I've seen it before was Blair.

Most history doesn't tell it in quite that way.

I have to say I am not one bit surprised to see all the Corbynites in here praising him for grabbing a blatant electioneering opportunity on Armed Forces Day. As a military widow, it makes me sick to my stomach.

It's shameful Livia. They will defend him no matter what he does. All they care about is getting him in - they care little about how he goes about it. He has no standards, no self respect and no respect for those that have earned it.

If Corbyn went to an AF event then the media would have just dubbed it a PR exercise and an attempt to out shadow May. They would have then microanalysed every little thing he did to try show how he isn't patriotic. No reason for him to cancel a commitment he had a long time ago for that.
