Democracy as in the people who voted to stay in the Union, obviously Nicola doesn't care a jot for the majority

What does supporting a united Scotland and England have to do with The Queen / Monarchy? Why do you assume that anyone who supports the union of the two countries much automatically support the monarchy? They are two completely separate issues.

[edit] You also seem to be assuming that those who support the union do not support devolution, which is also false; the large majority of Scottish people fully support current and continuing devolution within the union.

Look you can't have it both ways the Queen is head of the Union, Scotland is not independent, fly your flag where ever you want but refusing to do it for the Queens Birthday is basically saying we are not part of the Union, Nicola is such a sore loser

How is not flying a flag for a (in your words) figurehead's birthday in any way saying "we are not part of the Union"?

That Scotland is an individual country that happens to be part of an economic union, rather than a vassal state that is subordinate to England? And maybe specifically in relation to the Queen's birthday... an opposition to the celebration of hereditary rule which, again, also has absolutely nothing to do with the function of the UK.

So when the EU come calling Nicola wouldn't fly the EU flag, even though Scotland is an individual country that happens to be part of an economic union, Nicola would be running that flag up the pole herself and as for "happens to be part of an economic union" its a union that benefits Scotland greatly thanks to the English taxpayer, maybe you guys should reject the extra cash as well, rather than this "token" rebellion

It seems the Scottish daily Mail has published an apology to Nicola on this.

Apparently it was a decision taken by former First Minister Alex Salmond not her.
