This would be a great idea, I hope he wasn't teasing. Quite a few members have pointed out that the house seemed small, and may be this is why...........perhaps there really is a basement ??

I doubt there's a basement because i heard the house was built on top of a water tank stage so thats why the house is slightly lifted from the ground

Here's a thought.....

Remember last year's opening titles.... There were several images of a passageway with lights on either side and a small staircase at the end of it....

This appeared heavily in the titles, but was never in the series itself.... in fact was it ever explained to us???? What was this mysterious passageway, and where was it?

So I think there COULD be something under the house (beside the water tank????), but that in the 5 years we've had a house on the Elstree site, it's never been used....

What do you think???

Good Point, they might of been waiting for the right time to use it.

but i can remeber reading somewhere that the big rbother house is built upon something, and thats why they have stairs or something...maybe im hallucinateing again...Maybe not!

I think this is true as he wouldnt say something like that just for the fun of it. Maybe this basement leads to that second secret garden we know about that I found from 192.com .

I hope this idea is used because it would be fantastic.
But then again I have been watching my grand designs and property ladder and it would be a huge investment hehe.

I like the idea but i think it would be a lot of work and unlikely. They would have to build camera runs, fit electrical equipment, sounds way to difficult.

Hmmm i dunno how but maybe the secret basement could attaully be aboth ground but made to look like its lower down ?

EDIT:
"Incidentally, the Big Brother house currently stands on the water tank that was used for the film Moby Dick way-back in 1956!"

http://www.freewebs.com/elstreecalli...iefhistory.htm

Sorry to double post but i found that it is build on a Water tank according to that unofficial elstree website

http://www.elstreefilmstudios.co.uk/

On this site on the picture you can see one of the bb studios
Just thought it was interesting

The house can't have a basement. It's built ontop of a water tank...
