Can’t see the top 10 ending any other way than this come the end of love island. Although one of Jack/Kaz/Alexandra (whichever counterpart of a couple that makes the top 3) may sneak ahead of Samira a few days after they’re out.

I'm surprised Samira has managed to gain a 10k lead over Laura (currently) since Laura's been getting quite alot of airtime recently and central to storylines.

Kendall has now finally dropped out of the Top 10.

And Dani has just hit 1.7 million followers, making her the most followed female contestant of all time. I believe Kem is the most followed ever, with 2.1 million (Chris has 2 million), so she could very well become the most followed ever if she milks the post-show deals.

within 10 days of leaving almost every contestant gains 250k minimum [unless they are completely irrel, aka the Casa Amor irrel newbies or people that last less than a week]

Hence Samira overtaking Laura, by the time Laura leaves she will have at least 350k lead on Samira, people outside the villa when they first leave gain far quicker than those inside, It's not just Samira, it was Adam, Eyal, Niall, Zara, Rosie, Kendall - all 200k plus quickly after leaving]. Dani will leave on around 2M and then end up on like 2.4M a few weeks after the show I reckon [maybe even more..].

What is crazy is that Amber had more followers on Instagram than Kem when they won, and now Kem has 500k more than her. Post show can make a big difference.

I wonder whether it's better to be dumped/leave before the finale and have more attention on yourself for a few weeks while the show's still on rather than having to share the post-Love Island hype with about 9 other islanders after the finale. Will be interesting to see what happens.

I think leaving in finale will be better. I imagine the week after finale there will be a huge surge in followers for the contestants who make the finale.

Georgia will probably end up fifth by the end though on around 1.3M, I imagine Alex will overtake her a few days after the finale should he make the finale and at least one other of Wes/Laura/Meg will overtake depending on if Meg/Wes and Laura/her man make the finale.

I think leaving towards the end ish just because you get to do a lot more TV appearances while love island is still a hot topic

She isn’t it’s just this year is bigger than last year, she wouldn’t even be on the show if she wasn’t injured on that other show or didn’t have a famous father so she had a big advantage at the start where Chris didn’t.

I said it before but I really wish she'd hadn't been medevaced from SOTF, we'd have been spared the tedium of having the most obvious winner of a reality show since Pete Bennett

She probably be on love island if she wasn’t because they wanted another “i use to be in blazin squad” gag and they did but Georgia did that. It sucks and makes it less interesting knowing the winner from day 1, espically they don’t even have the best journey. We will never get a winner like Jess again, from hated to winner will always be better.

All the most followed contestants from 2017 bar Montana, Sam and Jess made the finale. [Jessica, who had tonnes of followers before entering and doesn't really count, Sam when half of his followers are from him joining Geordie Shore rather than Love Island and so again doesn't really count and then Montana who basically made the finale, as she went home the episode before].

I don't think this years will be as extreme as last year, but I do for sure think making the finale is way more beneficial than going prior. You become a hot topic making the finale as the press follows you moreso after you go as you are 'new territory'. I think clubs also want you more as they've had all the evicted ones on the build up to the finale.

I feel like all the big characters/stars made it to the end though last year, and they were mostly originals as well, whereas this year the finale is gonna be filled with loads of irrel newbies so it probably be a bit different
