My job here is to put the opposing view, that is why I am a Cyber Devil's Advocate, as it says in my signature...

The people doing this are wanting to stop all flights, permanently and they are winning...

Maybe the drone pilots will keep it up forever until Gatwick is closed for good...

It does not seem that the police are any further forward in stopping them. Time to call it a day on Gatwick and welcome the carbon footprint reduction by the final closure of this airport.

Maybe they will send another team of drones to Heathrow to help put an end to flying there?

Lets hope you never have a close family member needing to get back home quickly for a family emergency

Actually none of us fly.

When my mother died my brother in Canada attended the funeral by Skype, without the need to fly, so it can be done.

My concern is for those people on islands that are due to disappear due to rising sea levels, who cares about them on here?

Well as I pointed out, they have not had any luck tracking anyone down, and the drone pilots keep up their actions unhindered, making sure environmentally damaging aircraft do not fly.

Not any associates I am aware of, and how do you know it is not a case of "round up the usual suspects!"?

Its a big wake up call to the airports who make passengers jump through many hoops for 'safety' reasons when they need to be looking at their own security, measures, passengers should be compensated because the airport has now done enough to secure itself against this type of activity

On a side point, the thread title ought to be changed to "Gatwick Airport has been closed since 8pm Wednesday 19 December"

Aviation fuel only contributes 2.5% of the world's CO2 emissions.

The environmental impact of aviation occurs because aircraft engines emit heat, noise, particulates, and gases which contribute to climate change and global dimming. ... And in the European Union, greenhouse gas emissions from aviation increased by 87 percent between 1990 and 2006.

Take one round-trip flight between New York and California, and you’ve generated about 20 percent of the greenhouse gases that your car emits over an entire year.
