Hmm. I thought the acts used had to be British? Unless am thinking of something else.

Good people don't want to represent us as its cheesy bollocks. But like..some pop groups/singers constantly bring out cheesy bollocks, so why on earth would a night of cheesy bollocks watched by millions be a bad thing for them? You would think they would see it as more exposure. And if they get low points, its hardly going to kill careers, given UK is pretty much doomed to low points forever anyway IMO...but a chance, with someone half decent (and semi-known outside the uk)..should be taken just to check

There's three things we need to fix for next year's Eurovision.

1. Stop making songs about love, peace and harmony, nearly every UK entry is about this and it's getting really boring and predictable, we need to send a new message in our entries.

2. The song actually having a beat to it, even ballads can have a catchy beat, but the UK seems to favour minimal beat.

3. Spend more money on the staging, our performances every year on Eurovision always look so barren, I mean that poor Michael Rice last night was given no staging whatsoever.

Also as a preference I'd like us to play on our Rock and Indie circuits more often as we're actually good at it.

Stop sending Danish rejects and actually get decent song writing camps involved with singers that have creative input. Did Michael Rice really believe it was bigger than us? Likely not.

I'm confused. We can send acts who aren't even British to represent us?

Seems a bit odd.

Disagree.
Israel is not much loved but when they sent a catchy song last year they won.
UK can win with a good song

yes, countries like the Netherlands and Israel have a whole bunch of European neighbours that reliably give them 12pts... so bored of seeing this complaint.

Last night the only noticeable "neighbour trade-offs" that made no sense since everyone else rated them averagely were:
- Greece/Cyprus
- Slovenia/Czech Republic
- and San Marino/Italy

Also, Australia have been in the top 10 every time since competing (I think). Where're the neighbours?

The format Malta went with this year really worked and UK should follow it, have the prize for the winner of all together now/any new show they have (Malta had their X Factor) then go off with them and find the right song for them

We need to revive a similar thing to when Andrew Lloyd Webber and Jade Ewan happened, that was the only time I remember us doing something serious and we cane 5th. Blue also did well so if we can get a recognisable artist (who's not 60+) to enter then that's a good alternative but honestly we're not helping ourselves with what we've put forward last few years
Lucie Jones did well we just never got the support from the televote

There were rumours that BBC were going to give it to the winner of the voice, but then ITV bought it

We should try like a Bollywood themed entry, we have a massive Asian community so we couldn't be accused of using another countries tradition for no reason
