But... again... the problem isn't really holidays/TV's etc per se. It's the SOURCE of the power. That takes the people in control, with the money and the resources to ACTIVELY take steps to make the necessary changes.

Bleating about "This smartphone generation" is ridiculous and a piss poor counter-argument.

It's a better argument than glueing your tits to the pavement.

So there is no point in recycling either then? What’s the smartphone generation every one from 9 to 90 has one now more or less

Who said that?

Recycling is only possible because the people who can actually make that possible did so.

You alone and your neighbour reusing glass bottles at home won't have made much difference, but the actual manufacture of recyclable/re-useable materials and setting up the industries to recycle them.

That's the point. The people in power and with the resources need to open their eyes and act to make change, otherwise Jimmy giving up his xbox and smartphone is utterly pointless.

I think it needs input from everyone, not just one side, I completely agree that so much more could be done by companies but the public have to be invested as well, and Ex Reb just aren’t garnering public support in the way they could

Of course theres a point, we are doing our bit but it's never going to be enough without industry wide change, laws, protections and regulations... none of which many countries seem inclined to do.

For years the advice has been recycle, be energy efficient, go green, cut down waste, don't waste water, reduce emissions.
Is it any wonder that people who have done their best in yhe modern day are asking their respective governments ' what are YOU doing?! '

Exactly this.

A lot of individual households have been doing "their bit" for a long time now. It goes nowhere without the governments doing "their bit" which is a far more substantial part of the battle.

Made even harder when you've got people like Trump in charge directing money to utterly pointless brick walls.

It's exasperation. . What's left but protest?
There have been campaigns, awareness raised, petitions, expert analysis, scientific evidence, celebrity endorsement, televised appeals for years and years and years... This is what's left as all that has failed to make any qualitative change in the way the issue is addressed globally.

Ah so we’re still belittling people that care about the future of the planet enough to try and do make a change? Got it.

They need to try and do what they’re doing, without putting people off because humans are fickle, selfish creatures, we say we care about things, until it comes to trying to make things better and its deemed as too inconvenient or too ‘radical’.

Their message is great, it’s literally what the world needs right now, they need to cut back on the vandalism though.

I agree with all that you've said.

They do need to just ease off as to some things they engage in.
It shouldn't cloud the strong message they are trying to highlight.

Also our media will only pounce on anything negative they do too.
Then the lip service public join in showing only contempt for those trying to highlight the serious issues.
Avoiding said serious issues.
