I think 6 years ago it was on the way to South Africa
it was halted then stored but not secure.

Maybe to be used on mines

It was left as that nation has internal fighting,

Given that the country has been in economic turmoil for years, the most likely explanation is that it costs more to dispose of safely than it does to chuck it in a warehouse.

Of course, the cost of this will far exceed either.

I've read that it'll probably be difficult to know the exact amount of deaths because people caught in the blast were likely vaporised by it I saw a headline that said it was the biggest non-nuclear explosion in history.

1/10th the size of Hiroshima,
I visited the epicenter of where the nuke exploded over Hiroshima earlier this year.
So so sad the destruction caused.
And the life long impact it had on the people of the city.
I feel this will have the same effect on the people of Beirut.

Then whoever made that decision is the person at fault here.

Amazingly 1 person who was within 200 yards of the epicenter is still alive today.

Tragic, the people of Beirut have had such a hideous time in modern history. I really hope the support from other countries following this can give them the tools they need to progress.
