Exactly ,we do ok here really ,its not perfect but a lot better than many other countries trouble is some just want everything handed to them on a plate ,it cant happen ,it has to stop somewhere.

That's really stressful and scary.
I've never been there myself but I know those who are in that position.

It's easy to say help is there, getting it is not so easy.
As often when it's claimed you don't get it, or all of it.

Plus claiming takes time.
If you're hungry and needing help now, it's needed now.

When he wouldn't know what's true or decent in any shape or form politically.

Ditto Kate, which is now I'm working the thought of my tax helping others makes me really happy!

They should raise taxes and have everyone contribute fairly instead of letting some off paying tax and only those without offshore accounts paying. Then the govt would have no excuse not to fund these things.

Marcus is from one of the most impoverished areas in Manchester....he has experienced and seen real child poverty most likely. Its all very well saying he is rich so should put his hand in his pocket but that's just rubbish. Child poverty needs addressing and eradicating and that needs to be done at Government level. The stats on child poverty are beyond depressing.

Completely irrelevant. He will still be paying far more tax than some people earn in a year no matter what loopholes his accountant can find. He has still stepped up. Regardless of your football loyalties, surely you can appreciate what he is trying to do? 10 years ago he lived on an impoverished council estate in Wythenshawe.....now he's trying to give something back to not only the community he came from but also the wider community nationally.

For every person who "abuses" the benefits system there is a person who "evades" paying correct taxes though. This stereotypical benefit scrounger **** needs to end when the upper class shift their money off shore to stop paying taxes. They are as much of a drain as the people they demonise for claiming state benefits
