We are not perfect ,but it's a great country to live that is why so many people want to come and live here, and we are far better than a lot of other countries, we are at least trying to right some wrongs but I really don't think the BLM movement helped in it at all .I don't think we are inherently racist at all .

Boris Johnson's most senior black adviser to step down in May
Number 10 sources reject claims Samuel Kasumu's resignation is linked to a much-criticised report on racial disparities...

The prime minister's most senior black adviser is to step down from his role in Number 10.

Samuel Kasumu will leave his post as special adviser for civil society and communities in May.

The news comes a day after a government-backed review of racial disparities in Britain was published.

The Commission on Race and Ethnic Disparities' 258-page report was criticised for being "steeped in denial".

But Number 10 sources have rejected reports that Mr Kasumu's resignation, first reported by Politico, was linked to this.

I agree.

At my school in the East End, the black boys fought the Asians generally. I really don't remember too much black/white racism. I remember a student murdered at Newham College, an African boy stabbed by Asian Muslims. It's so much more complicated than black and white.

Alf Garnett did more for race relations than any other Britain.

He made "the bigot" a laughing stock. Nobody wanted to be a bigot after Alf's portrayal, he held a mirror up to them.

Sadly, they took him of the telly and never showed him again, and then things started going to sh!t.

Alf Garnett should be on the national curriculum.

GMB's Alex Beresford quits social media over racist abuse after Piers Morgan row...

...some things can’t be made true by selectively collecting data...I wonder how many actual stories were ‘collected’ in the making of the report...

That's very true, your last paragraph.

I fear this report has probably been just that, a loaded selective one to suit.

It's clear it's going to create more division than satisfy justly.

Social media, twitter especially, is just a toxic wasteland; one man getting some mean comments (via an American website) doesn't mean the country is institutionally racist.

If people object to the reported findings, maybe they could find some proof of institutional racism faced by citizens?

It might be a toxic wasteland, but it's nothing compared to the television. That is evil and deceitful and a place for the powerful to control.

Yes Alex is blamed by many for getting Piers gone.
Of Course, he is the one that Got Piers to walk out for a few mins.

He was Presenting GMBHD itv, with Charlotte Hawkins
today. He is Lightweight, compared to how Piers was.

Well said. I'm an immigrant and worked since I arrived here. Now I've finished my training ang works in NHS and with a good team in ICU, working with every colour. My managers are white, brown and black. It's not all about the colour, it's how you perform.

Have you watched this?

He appears to just repeat himself several times that there is racism in the institutions but the institutions aren't racist. A point, I think, he needs to elaborate on but instead he just repeats it. What do you think he says that's important?.

“If you don’t like it, you can always leave!” was the catchphrase of my 6th form head whenever anyone questioned how he was running things.

He was a ****ing idiot.

Snotty teenagers think their form heads are idiots as a matter of course. Then they grow up and realize they were snotty teenagers....

I’m 36 jet the man was an idiot. The same still applies. If you don’t like aspects of a job, you can try and get the manager to change them before you walk off and if the manager isn’t open to discussion and says “if you don’t like it leave!” they are an idiot. You can want to improve the country you live in. Saying “if you don’t like everything exactly as it is then bugger off” is destructive, undemocratic, and anti-patriotic.

There can always be improvements, but how is the way things are going nowadays going to improve anything? Do ‘the ‘UK is institutionally racist! Ott Warrior types think for example that throwing the accusation ‘racist’ around simply because some people dislike someone or people losing their jobs because they don’t believe what a mixed race person says is going to improve things or make them worse?

They must be thick if they think that kind of OTT behavior is going to lead to improvements. IMO they don’t care about improvements, they just want a reason to bring people and their country down. That is destructive and undemocratic.
Those that do this, don't put forward ideas on HOW to improve things, how to change minds that need changed, they just use accusations and aggressiveness which is totally counter - productive.
