investigation and will be looking into whether the suspect was known to authorities through the anti-terror PREVENT scheme. The force says the early investigation has revealed a potential motivation linked to Islamist extremism. Very tragic, although it's only hightened by what he does for a living because people are getting stabbed to death most days in the UK now, it seems to be a new culture.

This is terrible. I was so upset when I found out yesterday.
But where was his security? I think politicians should definitely have it. If I was one I would definitely have it.

In 11 years from that first stabbing which thankfully wasn't fatal. The danger remains. MPs are targets because of the fact they are MPs. The attention will be massive if a murder is the result. David Amess was one of the most approachable possible. A dedicated hardworking one and friendly bonds across the Parties. This is terrible and even if there is protestations from MPs. Some safer and far more secure way to allow them to do their surgeries. Must be ensured in the future. Tobias Ellwood Conservative MP, has said face to face contact should be temporarily stopped. Until whatever another review into MPs security comes up with this time. He's right in my view. |
