[Sunnah Khan, 12, from High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire,
died after being pulled under the water
near Bournemouth pier]

[Sunnah Khan was in the water near the
Victorian pier with her siblings when she
was pulled under on Wednesday afternoon, May 31,
but her distraught mother claims police
still have not explained the exact circumstances
of her daughter's death.

Sunnah, along with 17-year-old Joe Abbess - who
had been at the beach with friends - was fatally
injured and later died in hospital despite
the best efforts of medics and lifeguards.]

Presumably they were at the pier where the boat drops off/on at and when the boat pulled away they got sucked under by the tow?

That’s feasible though I have no experience of the ‘tow’ from boats ..

I still think the boat maybe caused the already choppy waves to be be bigger / stronger and the kids were either thrown against the pier or dragged under the waves

This is exactly why I would never swim near the pier.
I don't go too far in the water. It's not safe, anything can happen there.
It's possible that they were overwhelmed by the bigger waves.

Sooo if rip tides are a natural phenomenon presumably there will have been loads of similar instances around that area !!

Why wasn’t it mentioned anywhere/anytime in the period since last Wednesday ??

Also why was the boat captain charged with manslaughter ??
